@GSGuy321 @jts1891 @PeterDuck Not really. Your average overage charge is about 15$ per Gig you go over. And with data limits like 20 GBs per month, yeah. It just isn't plausible.
@PeterDuck @jts1891 Maybe, but your not mentioning the widespread use of data caps and bandwidth limits by ISP's, Either way, it's still more convenient to buy physical discs since you can buy, sell, or lend them out as you wish.
Let's see here. The average internet download speed in the US is 7 MBPS. It would take several hours for your average game to download at that speed. Add in data limits and bandwidth caps, and yeah. It's far more convenient to simply ride down the road and pick up a physical copy at Walmart or Gamestop or Bestbuy.
Digital might be the future, but the infrastructure just isn't there to support it yet on a grand scale.
