[QUOTE="-RPGamer-"][QUOTE="_Impmacaque_"][QUOTE="-RPGamer-"] I think people need to realize not everyone will like a game, in fact the minority actually like any given game. The remainder either don't know about it, don't care about it, or don't like it.
I really like the Halo franchise, but I understand if people don't like it or are skeptical.

It's one thing to dislike a genre. You don't like FPS? Fine.
But to say totally baseless, ignorant, and obviously wrong statements are much more common a scenario: Ex: "Halo:1 had terrible graphics/sound/AI/gameplay/etc.etc." It is a factthat Halo 1 was an exceptional game by ANY standards of the time. To deny this extends beyond a "dislike of the genre" and becomes blind fanboyism and hatred for a game because it was so successful.
There isnothing really "factual" about it. It's all subjective. If you speak of quality without measurable means (ie one game runs at faster fps, or one renders more polys) than you are not talking about facts you are speaking of opinions.
This may be true, but I thought that we agreed here in SW that we go by CaseyWagner's rules. His rules clearly state that we go by the ratings of Gamespot as FACT to determine how good a system is. According to Gamespot, Halo was a great game, and here, in SW, this is FACT. If you don't like it and want to live in the real world, then be my guest to leave.
I don't let another man tell me what to do.
