Some games just play better in the PC, like FPS', and MMORPGs, IMO. Maybe I have't gotten used to console gaming yet, but controlling with two different input devices seems more accurate than one controller.

Maybe interchangeable parts for hardware upgrades? Manufacturers could set deadlines for hardware upgrades, and that would probably be better then creating whole new game systems, usually the result of competition. Also, games have to compete with other games even when they're on the same console, most notably guitar hero and rock band, halo and a lot of other fps', and racing games.

So this is what happens. Today, I was searching stuff online. I use yahoo and when I typed in a game (gears of war) the top results you would usually expect - wikipedia, some major game site, didn't show up. I tried searching for more games, and the same happened. monstermarket.com or bestantivirus or something. I tried some other searches, like some car names, wikipedia, and even gamespot. I couldnt even find gamestop on the first page. I tried google, and the same thing happened. it is SO annoying.

First off, I didn't try to find a similar thread becasue this was on my mind for quite a while and I HAD to let it out.

So, like the title says, do you think that, in the future, there will be one centralized gaming system? Doesn't matter what company makes it, just one centralized gaming system in its market (like the PC, it has monopolized computer gaming). By Gaming system I mean a console plugged to a TV.

Could it happen? Would you want it to happen?

If that did happen, it would be easier for developers and major companies to make money, instead of deciding what console to develop for. Having said that , I would like that to happen. No hard decision on what consoel to buy, just one system. It would probably be very advanced too. Think about it: if nintendo, MS and sony collabed on one system, wouldn't it have a lot of features? It would probably have motion sensing/great graphics/multiplayer, and of course, an immense game pool.

On the downside, people would sh8t themselves deciding on which game to play. Also, if a probelm like the RRoD arose, everyone would be screwed.

What do you guys think?

help... tbh I only like games like gta this kinda sucks for me I dont like games where you have to run around aimlessly guessing which way to turn but I do like a game with a story and serpearte missions.. not to hard..not to long can you recommend me a game please and please dont say saints row thanx

get crackdown. it fits your description perfectly. You can go for gang members, the main point of the story, or you go can do vehicle stunts, jump off 200 story buidlings, shoot rocket launchers, do races, run across rooftops, shoot things, belong to an agency that makes you feel like batman, all set in the future. The city of gorgeous, especially when you're on top of a bulding just looking down.also has minor rpg elements to level up your character. used at gamestop is only 13 bucks, and they all work perfectly.

anyway, do you need an xbox hard drive to access mulitplayer of XBL gold? I have a memory unit that can access XBL Silver but never tried it with gold. I was thinking of getting an external HD for game saves. thanks.

depends, if you have XBL and tend to play games online or you have friends that come over, get left 4 dead. for a more rounded game get COD 5

Hmm...I just noticed that Best Buy is selling PGR4 for only 20 bucks. Is that worth it? I like buying cheap games lol. Also, are there any other older but good discounted games which are worth buying?

Edit: Is Halo 3 still worth buying, and does anywhere sell it cheap?

PGR4 is a very early game, but its very good. features real cars too. Don't expect to play anyone on XBL with it tho. Halo 3 is definitely still worth buying, has a good campaign and very good multiplayer. Crackdown used is good, i bought it for 13 bucks, and i haven't needed to buy anew game. (yet)
