[QUOTE="RRODed"][QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"]No offense, but i'm fairly sure the PS3 has installs because the disc cannot be read as quickly as a DVD can. Thus, the install becomes necessary. If the 360 used Blu-Ray discs it'd have the same issue.
Besides; installs are no big deal at all.

This is correct.
Poor Sony, so many bad decisions, will they ever recover?
Installs are a big deal to me. The only thing I want taking up space on my HD is game saves and DLC that I choose.
That is untill next next gen when M$ takes gaming to DL HD only, blu-ray will be long forgotten in the gaming world.
Honestly, some of you people need to read what you type BEFORE you press submit, and not when it is quoted back to you.............
The 360 is porbably going to have an optional install. Creating redundant data overcomes the read speeds. The PS3 HDD is easily and cheaply replacable. DD will not take over anytime soon. Also, the slow read speed number is misleading since you can't directly compare DVD read speed to Blu-Ray read speed, just like you can't compare CD read speeds to DVD read speads directly. Thirdly, fourthly and fifthly, if anyone made mistakes it was MS with not making a HDD standard, rushing console development leading to problems down the line like RROD, and for backing the wrong format (HD-DVD).
Next question?
SURPRISE someone brought up RROD is this you guys(cows) only defense
Yeah, yesterday my ps3 gave me the red ringjtdawg23
Cows are always going back to this it is their only line of defense the only flaw they can pick out on the 360 so they keep saying every thread RROD RROD, fearing the day that m$ fixes it what will you guys use against the 360 then....o I kno itll be teh DVD has no space ahhhh
[QUOTE="justcause1"][QUOTE="donwoogie"]The way you talk about RROD theres NO way you also think that someone still has a working launch 360....thats incredible and your patheticWhat's that? It's the glorious sound of time ticking away! May 12th 2008, all you early adopters will have your three year warranties expire simultaeneously! Oh, don't stop from crying...... Your tears fuel me! :D

I take it from your tone of text you bought a launch console? Wow.... good luck man..... Me think maybe you'll be joining the PS3 crowd again, unless you buy a new Xbox 360..... decisions, decisions

Almost as big a fool as someone who buys a console with a 33% hardware failure rate ;)
if it breaks, i get a new one for free. whats teh big deal? id rather wait 2 weeks for it back, than wait over a year for a decent exclusive
wow, now you're arguing fact with opinions lol!!!!!!!!!33% is not a fact , you are fighting fantasy with fact. the fact i have is that i will get it back in two weeks, the fantasy is the 33% failure rate

It's been PROVEN that the 360 has a 33% failure rate. I think it was lowered to 16% but MS still hasn't given a gaurantee that it won't happen anymore. You should do some research before you *claim* the failure rate doesn't exist.
Noone claimed it didnt happen we said it wasnt 33% and you say the 360 HAS a 33% percent failing rate, and then you say its lowered to 16 percent that would mean its 16% percent and NOT 33.....you should think before you type
