do you know that regular dvd's can only produce 480p?? so what you are saying about 360 games producing 1080i is not true....because the xbox360 can go on 1080p but you need hd-dvd to produce 1080p....at least from what i've heard its like this..lazzy102

That's not true at all. You can get 1080p resolution on a DVD, but there isnt a lot of space to work with. This is why you get very short campaigns from 360 games, and almost all of them have some sort of online component to keep the player interested. Also, if you are putting 1080p on DVD9, you pretty much always have to compress the audio.

Exactly. They need about a 3 month BETA test so they can get kinks worked out, it aint coming in feb.

My prediction from few months ago(and i still stick to it) is that both Microsoft and Sony will cut price close to GTA4 release date. I think MS will lead and Sony will follow. In worst case scenario there will be bundles from both of them with GTA4.

Sony has to do it or MS will take all sales boost from GTA4. Of course this is good for gamers, us.

its not that I regret getting the 360, its just that its had its time and now it is done, so far as i see it there are only a few games for 08 for the 360 im looking forward to. I kinda wish i got the ps3 now, of course im going to buy it but it is going to take me a while, i just bought a new tv, but thats of topic. The PS3 how i look at it is far superior then the 360. It has features that far surpass Microsoft, such as blu ray and it is capable of hd resolutions such as 1080p (i could go on forever). When i buy a PS3, thats the day i will be truly happy:P haha i just needed to express my self...any one feel the same!I am not a fan boy....!haha1357

Hey man dont listen to these guys about selling your box. It's a decent console and I say play it until they stop making games. Xbox live is great and so is the install base, dont miss out on a good title that isnt announced yet just cuz you have your doubts. the hard part is buying the machine. I most definetely think you just get a PS3 as well though. having both consoles is getting the best of both worlds. Think it through. Games are games.

I have stock in Sony...but they are actually doing quite well. Sony doesnt just make games and consoles you know. Plus if you add up the PS2, PSP, and PS3 sales...they are looking pretty damn good.
