If the multiplayer service was actually "great", I'd still be playing all the games I listed.

Right, but you keep expecting the experience to evolve, which it doesn't. It is what it is.

You put in 40-50 hours and you have played the game.

You don't keep watching the same movie over and over no matter how great it is.

Eventually you will get bored.

Getting bored is inevitable, you're right. But 2 weeks of spreaded out game time is more of a rent if you ask me.

i've already got uncharted and have cod4 for my pc. i actually have a huge list for all my systems, but for the ps3, specifically:

- assasin's creed

- ratchet & clank

- UTIII

- conan

- DiRT

- nba 2k8

- VF5

- GH3

- Kane & Lynch

this doesnt include my list for next year and i will be fulfilling this list myself, of course ;)
