@bakagami @SALMANTHEBEST no its not... console gamers want a machine that works with EVERY game that has the name of it on its cover... and steam machines won't have that since, in the end, they are still but PCs and PC games need higher and higher minimum specs every year. so you are at risk to buy a console like PC that wont play the newest high end games 3-4 years after you bought it. or you can play them but since they're not optimised you will have worse graphics than on Consoles.
because even though Consoles have lower specs, games still can look better on them than on equally powerful PC hardware simply because they get optimised for the system.
the only way this could work would be if Valve makes some kind of compatibility rule for Steam so that every game that comes out on steam HAS to be playable on every steam machine...
@Adenosine but we console gamers can sell the game for $30 on ebay if we don't like it afterall... or trade it in at GameStop :)
and there is a big chance that Arkham Origins will be a disappointment to many fans of the first 2 games since it's made by a totally new studio and a bigger world could hurt the game imo.
you will be stuck with your game forever, we can sell it and get at least some of our money back ;)
@NTM23 @bunchanumbers REALLY? i mean it could be a great controller, but it relies on the same tech touchpads on laptops use... AND THEY SUCK! so, i would never buy on of these without a hands-on test!
@onixevil the Wii U pro controller is pretty damn good... and noone has tried the Steam controller yet... so ya... we will see.
i doubt it will work well with fighting games, jump n runs or racing games ;) the Wii U Pro controller works fine with every genre... except RTS of course. and i am still not concerned that shooters will really play better with those touchpads than with 2 Analog Sticks
