Most likely, the battery inside the cartridge that keeps your save has gone dead. THis was a major problem for Pokemon G/S. Your options are either open the cartridge and replace the battery, or buy a new copy. There are instructions online for replacing it yourself, or you can get a new copy at GameStop for $10 or so.bionisam
