Thanks all for help but when i walked out to see if there was anything not connected a piece on the mobo started to smoke and burn so i looks like im out $100 :(

Thanks again.

Hmanslice

That happened to my friend. He said that one of the mounting screws was causing a short somewhere and the mobo started smoking. I think it still worked when he remounted it.

[QUOTE="mattpunkgd"]Oh ya and sorry i forgot to add im getting the xigmatek or sumthing... the one on newegg for 36.99.mattpunkgd

Xigmatek HDT S1283? Nice choice, few degrees short of Thermaltake True (120 extreme), should get a nice OC with that

Ya thanks.

I'll be getting that cooler as well. Did you know that for Heat-pipe Direct Touch coolers you need to apply the thermal compound in a different way to ensure proper coverage?

[QUOTE="Hmanslice"]How do i hot-wire it??

glez13

Google:

http://www.techwarelabs.com/guides/misc_mod/psumod/

But you really have no other computer on your house? By the sound of it: hot-wire+YOU=DANGER! My advice be careful, follow instructions carefully.

Edit/ careful

Edit2/ even more careful

It can be dangerous but it's a great way to find out if the PSU is the problem. Be safe. I hope you don't kill yourself!

I'm looking for a uni-directional microphone which would be used primarily for gaming. I want something that doesn't require me to yell for it to register or having to put it in my mouth because it's not sensitive enough. What mics do you guys use for gaming?

Have you forgotten to connect the power cable for the front power button. If everything does seem to be connected properly you could always hot-wiere the PSU to see if it starts up.
