I don't think it's too far off topic. The RE series was originally a PS based franchise and this movie is more based on the games than the live action films.

I'm currently using a Sony HT-DDW995It's a home theater in box, but it's the best I've seen. It has 5.1, HDMI Active Intelligence,Auto calibration, Digital Media Port,Portable audio enhancer,900 watts, Digital Decoding, Ipod compatable, among other fine features for under $500 US. It fits my needs perfectly for my apartment.

Right now I'm using one I made. Most of the Icons are from several other themes. I still prefer the PS3 wave background in grey. I added my own custom sounds to this as well.

Next gen gaming means having a strong internet connecton. Sorry about your loss.

Just pick one that you think looks nice really. Almost any will work. If you plan on using it for gaming in the future(UT3) stick with wired for a reliable signal.If you're justusing it for browsing and chatting, you can go wireless or Bluetooth.You can't customize hot keys with the PS3 so don't worry about anything fancy. I have the Logitech BT Mediaboard Pro and it suits my needs.
