Well, you can't group all pro-whites together. There are black power people out there too, "black pride", mexicans "brown pride" and whites "white pride" yet if anyone says white pride they're considered a racist/extremist group...

There are the neo-nazis who want only a white race, they dislike any race that isn't "white" or "Caucasian", they hate jews above all, think the media is jew owned, hate Israel and hate any other religion but Christianity (I'm a christian... Please don't associate all Christians with the radical ones, you're bound to have a few nut jobs when 70% of the nation are so-called "christians"). Many different kinds of these, not all like hitler not all like fascism either.

There are your typical "racists" who just hate blacks and every other race but white, but don't go into praising hitler or any of that.

I'm not defending anyone, just stating some simple things that I believe to be true from my observations. I'm not white, I'm Mexican actually...

Its really difficult to be proud of being a white person. Just think about it, what is it inherently about you being white that makes you proud. At least being proud of being a minority makes sense because your proud of not being the majority and proud of the struggle that your people have had to endure.

[QUOTE="kayn83"][QUOTE="DragonRebel0908"]

I have a tom/snare+hi-hat/tom/snare+hi-hat pattern.

DragonRebel0908

hmm that might probably work better then because an open hi-hat (best to close the hi-hat immediately after) can create a really piercing sound that a ride doesn't really achieve.

Well I only have Guitar Pro experience and not actual drum experience so whatever drummer I have in my band can probably work the beat in the best way. I do want to try to play drums, though. I have a friend that says I'm welcome to play on her drum set because she doesn't play much.

Ultimately, I'd let the drummer figure the beat out for himself. Give him an idea and let the drummer work with it. If your drummer is good and creative, I'm sure they'll impress you.

It depends. If you use a crash for a single note then the open hi hat will sound like an open hi hat and not a crash (see Smells Like Teen Spirit's verse for an example of this). If the entire beat contains open hi hats then yeah it can work, personally I like beats with open hi hats over ones with crash cymbals anyway. Crash cymbals can be kinda deafening after all and open hi hats can still work well to create a powerful drum beat.

EDIT: Oh you meant ride... well a ride and open hi hats have different sounds. I think hitting the ride during a beat is primarily used to emphasize the snare/bass although there are some cool things you can do with a ride (see Radiohead's Reckoner. That song alternates hits on the ride and the bell of the cymbal, pretty cool stuff.) But no open hi hats are more used to get a louder sound, you don't typically hit open hi hats softly anyway.

ive read all peoples responses, and every turtle has gotten picked. this just shows you that whoever created them, thought out how they would behave and their personalities and what not. i just shows that the TMNT are great!

TonyTcite
yeah man definitely. I honestly like all the turtles but raphael was always my favourite for some reason.

Raphael by far. He was cool but crude, nothing beats that.

I have this concoction when I was younger that's delicious but probably very unhealthy...

You put vanilla ice cream in a bowl, then you put milk as well. Sprinkle Nesquik powder on top and finish with Nesquik Syroup. It was awesome because once you finish the ice cream, you get chocolate milk :D

Out of all the FPSes I've played, I've had the most fun with the Halo franchise but to be perfectly honest it probably isn't the best FPS ever made. I can't really pick a definitive answer to that question but I think most will agree Half-Life is probably the best.

lets see... I've seen a lot of bands live so that doesn't really count.

I've been really close to Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins (I even told Taylor Hawkins how I thought he was a good drummer but I was too nervous to say anything to Grohl.) I've also been really close to the former mayor of Toronto and the former Blue Jays player Joe Carter but never said anything to them. I can't really think of anybody else but I'll come back to the thread if I remember someone else.
