Christmas gifts DVDs

Well as I has suspected I got the DVDs I wanted.

Bones: Season 1 - already watched each ep twice.

E.R.: Season 6 - watched each ep once.

Lois & Clark: Season 4 - still need to watch

Thus I have several new things to post about over the next couple of weeks, before I go back to school.

I also got two movies: Soul Survivor. I have to admit that way back when that movie was first out I didn't give it the time of day. As the ads for it looked kind of dumb. But after watching it, it is a fairly good movie. (would describe what it is about but it would give away the end too much). And Center Stage, happens to be a good movie, about a group of people at a Balet school, working to get a spot in the Company.

At some point next week I think I may do a blog about my cats, but who knows.

Blog 4

Thought it was time to do another blog.

If my blog has some spots that sound kinda strange, blame it on the lack of sleep with a large amount of Mountain Dew drinking.

The next between 6-8 weeks is going to be rather dull for me. ALL of the shows I watch is on their breaks. Sooo sad. Now I understand that the shows need to break for two reasons 1. the actors need the time off and 2. the studios don't want new eps on during the holiday season - so people won't miss the eps. But what I dont understnd is why don't they show reruns in the breaks. Almost every one of the shows i watch won't rerun, the timeslots are being given to stupid mini-shows. :(

See the big problem is that during the brunt of the show season I am away at school. So i don't have cable, only a tv with an antenna, and I only get fuzzy, messed up images, with mostly ok audio. It would be nice if they showed the reruns, so when I go back home I could see some of the episodes via-cable installed tv, in a way that I could enjoy them, you know?

But I do have a small ray of light. For Christmas/my birthday (yes birthday is Dec 25) I AM getting Bones: Season 1, Lois & Clark: Season 4, and ER: Season 6; to pass the time. The mom accidently blabbed she already got Bones and L&C (ER not out yet). I estimate I will have all three watched by January 5, if not sooner. Seeing as I watched Supernatural: Season 1 in less than one day.

Blog 3

Here is just a little show comparison.

I had a longer, more detailed one, but when i tried to post it, it vanished, so here is a much quicker one.

Ok. Over the weekend I sat down and watched C.S.I.’s Grave Danger eps and Bones Aliens in a Spaceship, to see what one was better.

Grave Danger, Nick is kidnapped and buried alive, he has 12 hours of air, there is a 1 million dollar ransom. The C.S.I. team is able to see him using a web cam. They must follow clues from another case to try and save him.

Aliens in a Spaceship, while investigating the case of twin boys buried alive, the team discover the perpetrator is known as “The Grave Digger”, he buries his victims alive and demands a ransom, when he receives it he wires them a GPS location of the person. Well Bones and Hodgens become his latest vics, being buried in her car. But they are able to use their skills to determine where they are and send text message to the others to be saved.

Now as a fan of C.S.I. when Grave Danger first came out I thought it was rather cool. But after watching Bones I would have to say Bones won hands down.

I liked how in Bones even though Bones and Hodgens were trapped in the car they were able to give the clues that saved them. Unlike in Grave Danger, Nick was just in his box freaking out; the team had to bounce blindly from clue to clue to find him. Plus the fact that Hodgens told Bones how much he loves Angela was really cool.

Blog

Have to admit this is a rant.

I have touched on this topic in some of the show discussion posts I have done. But I think this makes for a good blog topic.

Why is it that shows put out only the first season of a show and then decide to stop, sans the following seasons? This has rather annoyed me over the last couple of years, I have (as many others have) put upwards of 50$ a season for a show only to discover we won’t be able to get the rest. I.e. Everwood only season 1 of 4 will be released; Mork & Mindy only 1 of 4 seasons, SeaQuest 1 of 3 (although they are considering releasing season 2 in 2008).

Plus, the whole thing about The Invisible Man (Vincent V. and Paul Ben Victor) is only released in UK, and not here in the USA.

First blog

Here goes. All my friends know me as the "TV Junkie". I tend to know a lot more about most shows than they do. I love to watch shows and then take them apart, is the plot any good, are the characters good, but the thing i love to do the most is find the errors. To find scenes when the boom mic pops in the shot, if there is a reflection of the cameras in the shot, and so on. Well I know it is not much but I think it works for the first blog.
