Hey, I have an iPhone 4 and when I add a web page to the home screen I am able to type in well over 12 characters by default. I have iOS 4.3 installed.

Metal Gear Solid 4 will be a great game because of how epic it is. The gameplay will be even more refined than the previous Metal Gears, the graphics will be amazing, and the sheer amount of cutscenes and outstanding music will make MGS4 THE game of 2008.

Crysis isn't very CPU dependent so you'll probably run Crysis more or less the same as someone with Core 2 Extreme which is like $1000 more expensive. The video card is the most important thing for Crysis and not even two video cards can max Crysis with anti-aliasing and a high resolution. I wouldn't recommend shelling out $500 for a GPU since there isn't much performance gain and the current expensive GPUs will be obsolete shortly.

Your Phenom should serve you well for gaming although the stock clock speed seems quite low. You may want to overclock it in the future for some games, but for now you should be fine.

Also, I would recommend getting an 8800GTS (512MB) if you only have one PCI Express slot since it yields very similar performance to the 8800GTX/9800GTX but can be found for signicantly cheaper. If that is too expensive, try to get an 8800GT.

Wait for the 9800GTX to come out, since its supposed to be around $300. That could present a couple options for you:

1) 9800GTX turns out to be a great performer and at the $300-level would be a good investment.

2) 9800GTX flops but its closeness in price to the 8800GTS results in a price drop for the 8800GTS, in which case you grab one of those.

Crysis is highly GPU-dependent (i.e. if you overclock your e6600 it won't make much difference). Your rig should be able to run Crysis on mostly high at a lower resolution. To the best of my knowledge, 2GB of RAM is enough for all current games including Crysis.

Overclocking a video card is easy; it can be done by simply downloading a program such as nTune or RivaTuner (most people will recommend RivaTuner over nTune) and manually adjusting clock frequencies. There are a bunch of guides on the internet on how to proceed with overclocking so if you google it you're sure to find something.

Your ability to overclock the e6600 will depend on your motherboard, cooling options, and voltage settings and the process takes a bit more work than overclocking a video card.

Wait a few more days until the 9800GTX launches. If rumours are correct, the card could be in the $300 range and perform better than 8-series cards. If those rumours end up being false, I'd go for an 8800GTS 512MB, which you could later SLI if you wanted to.
