Number 12 Is "Another World"

The same question gets asked everytime a new big MMO comes out, and the same answers float around each time and while they are popular for the first month or so, eventually people go back to their other MMO's because thats what they have played for so long and they tend to miss all their characters etc on that mmo.

Though Aion does look great, and it plays pretty darn good too (I have played for a while on the Chinese version), what it does lack compared to the oh so popular WoW (I'm not knocking it, I have a level 80 infact, its just getting a little stale and unbalanced as of the past month or so), What it lacks is the backstory and extremely detailed lore that Warcraft has managed to build up on over all these years, and unfortunately thats not exactly something that you can just create.

Aion does have a story, in depth characters / races, etc but it just doesnt have the same engrosing feel to it, so I'm just hoping that they can keep people hooked based on gameplay that has great quests (from what i've played that is) and good PvP, and that they dont just rely on pretty graphics and wings to help them through.

Going back to the Lore and story aspect of MMO's though, this is where I think Star Wars : The Old Republic will shine, everyone knows the star wars saga even if its just a little part of it, and there is just a near limitless amount of material that they can use, which on top of biowares excellent writing and their incredibly ambitious Voice Over project, I think they may be onto the next winner. Will it take over WoW though? Probably not no, purely for the fact that WoW has been going for so long and people are attached to it. But I think it could take some people from their subscription base and maybe even sit at the #2 spot, and I really hope it works out for them, as its looking like a fantastic project which I hope turns out to be a fantastic MMO, I can safely say I am looking forward to that more than Aion.

Though I will be getting the CE of Aion most likely though!

TLDR - Read the post and stop being lazy

if you installed the software that came with it open it up and check the button settings as it may be set wrongly and have it set as "key press" with the key being "V" hence every time you press it your essencially pressing another V key.

Or if you havent installed the software then do so and you can change all the settings that way

Blame it on anything you want and shy away from the truth if it makes you sleep better. But this kid was messed up in the head and needed counciling / medical help.

The Beretta may be in the game, but it must also be easy to obtain in Germany if his father owned it legally. Maybe their gun laws should be questioned? But are they? Nope.

and as for the Game rewarding players for shooting people in the head? In what way exactly? its not like you get points for it is it, no. Its just a common fact that a bullet to the head will kill you instantly, FACT. This can be seen in many films, in extreme graphic detail, yet no one bats an eye about it, because its become accepted as films have evolved to be more realistic and believeable.

The same needs to happen with games now, people need to stop blaming games that are more adult, more realistic, and more gripping for everything, they have evolved just like films, except now people cant seem to accept it.

Well, thats my view anyways, and its been a long time coming, but these topics have really started to get to me lately and I need to get it off ym chest. I hopeI wrote this all concisely and its not too muddled.

To be honest I feel like a child at christmas at the moment, this is fantastic, I loved the games back in the day and really regret selling them! The quirkyness and great humour are next to none and the games difficulty is just right and never seemed 'too' difficult.

I shall be passing the time till the WAR beta now quite happily playing these!

I'm agreeing with most of the Choices here, I would love to see some Final Fantasy, Some Resi, Dino Crisis, Oddworld and definately Metal Gear.

I would like Klonoa though, I have fond memories of that game, Tombi (Tomba) would be awsome too.

So, not only has it got a firm release date now of June 12, 2008, its also getting a Beta!
