[QUOTE="dakan45"]Since you have no problem then you can really comment on how its like when you cant play now can you? Also no, its not just a line of code. The game downloads essential information thats why pirates cant progress the game, because at the part it needs that info, the game does not get it. I am not gonna assist ubisoft into paying for a game that is not complete. I dont like that limited ownership and being able to play a singleplayer game only when their servers are working. But if you are in the US ofcourse you will never experiance a problem, in other locations though people have been experiancing many connection issues. Even the gamespot review confirms it. I will not discuss this further, i will let the user who had problems twice to talk about it. I just hope he sees the thread. But dont tell me "buy it, it works" because i cant belive that. When splinter cell conviction is out i wil buy it but when the price is really low so ubisoft gets nothing from me.

Its pretty sad when you buy a game, then use an "illegal" file to fix it.

Seems like you didn't bother to read it as well, mate. Just check out beta gameplay vids and screenshots - they have absolutely nothing to do with the real game. They aren't going to make much just by updating the graphics. They need major changes - like changing the graphic engine maybe? I mean c'mon, it's a MMO so it doesn't have to be beautiful but still it requires a QUAD CORE and it's UGLIER THAN WOW. What's with that? It doesn't make sense to me.Crimsader
well if it runs on the ue3, thats a terrible choice for an mmo. UE3 can look nice, but its always tiny environments with little going on.

I don't understand why all you people complain about their DRM? You are on the internet right now... I am guessing you are on it whenever your computer is on... I don't get it? Do you yank your ethernet cable out when playing games?

People always say it inconveniences legit players... How so? It is all done in the background, it happens relitively instantly, it uses virtually no bandwidth? How is that an inconvenience?

I often connect my computer to my home theater and would prefer to not need internet to do so.

Get it for a console. The PC version requires you to be online while playing (even singleplayer)

fend_oblivion

It shouldn't be a problem if you have a stable net connection 24/7. If you don't have a stable connection, get it for the 360.

And no, you won't get lost. Just read some of the summaries of the series on Wikipedia or GameFAQs. It should give you a good idea about how the story is.

well Im sure most peoples internet connections are more stable than their xbox 360s :) I say don't buy the game, don't support ubisoft and their rehashes and crazy drm ways.

I was disappointed with the combat in my demo playthrough. Over the years I played various third person combat games(Including superhero games such as Spiderman and older Batman games ect.), in a fair short amount of time it felt as if I had already played this. In addition, the combat was too simplified and easy.

Please, bring Ninja Gaiden to the PC platform.

Batman`s gameplay was flawless and it felt right. I wouldnt want to see batman`s gameplay turned into a hack and slash.

It was basic and pretty much a button masher beat em up, which some refer to as a hack & slash. Sure batman had some stealth elements to make the game bearable, but ninja gaiden is no more a hack & slash than batman. If the next batman has combat that is more like ninja gaiden or atleast engages the payer to the same level it will be 100 times better. This is more or less my problem with many new games, especially console based ones... the gameplay just feels more and more restricted as we get more cutscenes and more flash.

omg, if ninja gaiden made it to pc I would flip out. And I agree, the combat in batman was its huge major fault.

A good game (7.5) with strong production values though its major faults were the fact that you have to play in Detective Mode for almost the entire game, combat was flashy but feels restricted, the story is a joke, the boss battles could have been done much better (Killer Croc, Joker being the main culprits) and the fact that each boss needed a "hit weak point 3 times" to kill. The game was also short. I finished the game in 12 hours with 184 riddles solved so I'd imagine the time required would drop significantly had I not done any riddles/checked for trophies/reels etc.

The scare crow fights and cutscenes were amazing though. I really freaked out when the game showed me a garbled and glitched scene in one of Scare Crow's cutscenes. I thought my PC crashed :P And the Riddler's final phone call is funny as hell.

It got 9 because the combat was a bit dull, and it was missing epic moments. It really didnt feel worth $50 to me, just another above average game. I got the same feeling that I got from bioshock, where the more I played it the less interested I was in it until it just ended.

1carus

:? The combat was furiously intense to watch and furiously interactive. How was the combat dull?

Because it was just button mashing, then batman beat up the baddies in slow motion. It was cool for a bit, then it just got tiresome.
