Whats up dudes, playstation takes way too long putting out games and their competition is waaay ahead of them in the market. Don't get me wrong i'm a fan of playstation 3 but just a little disappointed in the lack of them producing more games. Where do you see playstion in the next 10 years or so, and do you think playstation 4 will be the wave of the future?

JAH_Game77

I believe most of us will rather have delayed games deliver a good gaming experience, to a rushed buggy release. So, to Sony and its 1st/2nd party studios. Please take your time and put out a good job. For now LBP, GT5P, MotorStorm PR and many more are trying to ruin my education.

I really have to pack these things and lock them up till May.:)

On your ps3 go to the display settings under video output format and chose custom instead of automatic, you can select 720p there if you need to.cbillings
Yes, right there. Under HDMI.

[QUOTE="khai411"][QUOTE="DeathScape666"]Yeah, I figured it out. Thanks, guys. I don't notice a difference at all, though. It said "Do you wish to change it to 1080p?" I said no, since mine's only 720p. It looks no different. Anyone know why?DeathScape666
Set it to 720p and try it with a game. There should definitely be a difference.

First of all, should I have full screen on or not? I have it set to normal. Second of all, it asked me if I wanted to change settings to 1080P, so I did. There wasn't an option that just said "720P." When it changed it said: 480P 480i 720P 1080i 1080P Ummm... Should I have done this? What about the full screen thing?

Don't those options have a checkboxes next to them??

[QUOTE="Puscifer_No1"][QUOTE="Makedonijo"]its a 40gbDeathScape666
Hmmm, a 40G PS3 for $200, with no games, no cables and no controllers. IMO No it's not a "deal". You'd be paying more to get the cables and controller that should come as standard with the system. Games are really essential when considering "deals" like this but it helps.

Yeah, don't get it. Plus, DualShock 3 controllers are like 55 dollars...

Yes, when you get your controllers from overpriced retail stores

[QUOTE="Duckman5"][QUOTE="DeathScape666"] I plugged out the component cables, but it doesn't seem to fit... Did I get the wrong kind or something?DeathScape666
There is an HDMI slot in the back of the PS3 and the TV. I don't know what else to say, it's a "tab A into slot B" sort of deal.

Yeah, I got it. But there's one that says "HDMI 1" and "HDMI 2." I plugged it into HDMI 1 because 1 comes before 2, but I'm not sure if that one's the right one.

By the way, you used to be on the Wii boards and loved Battalion Wars 2.... What happened?

Mostly, you can plug it into HDMI 1 or 2. You will just have to switch your TV display to HDMI 1 or 2, depending on which you choose to connect to.

I got a 10ft and 6ft cable from amazon. Each less than $10. One was even gold plated(whatever). Both work just fine. Don't buy those over priced cables, they provide the same performance as the cheaper ones. It's a digital signal.
Dude, def. go with the most expensive you can get. I would go with monster brand. It drastically improves clarity, sharpness, contrast, everything. It will blow you away. The cheaper ones dont even come close. Also, monster is the only brand with cables that support HDMI 2.0. cornell5000
Why get a cable that supports HDMI 2.0 when your PS3 doesn't support such. Neither do the vast majority of TVs out there.

biggest waste of money .. no one talks on the mics they should of bundled a headset with the console Snake_raider
Best thing that ever happened to that console. At least any whining, obnoxious 12 year old that wants to get on my blocked list has to put a little effort in going out to actually buy himself a mic.
