That's what I was thinking maybe add some rankings like COD4 to keep you interested.
I agree its an extremely flawed system but with the way epic are going on about it I wont be surprised if we see an incredibly annoying very much working version of it in the game and maybe in future games.
Also instead of people going on about "needing this achievement can you help" through one match they will be repeating it through all the matches they need to finish it off I cant see this working and if it does its potentially a multiplayer wrecking idea.
"here is the UK"
and after checking this morning a brand new game over here is the equivilant of........(drum roll please).....
87.4565 USD!!!" We've all encountered it; begging foreigners on Xbox Live, crying to the rest of the lobby to help them unlock their multiplayer Achievements via suicide, game-breaking behavior and more, thus spoiling the fun for everyone else.
Thankfully, it looks like Gears of War 2 at least is going to fight against the whiney Achievement whores, by limiting the amount of accolades players can unlock in a single multiplayer game.
Speaking to CVG at Microsoft's media summit this afternoon, which you might have heard about already, Gears honcho Cliff Bleszinski said Epic was going to be "throttling" the amount of achievements players can unlock at any given point.
"If you're going for headshots," he gave as an example, "you get one headshot that counts and any other headshots won't count towards your Achievement, so players don't just play to get headshots the entire round just to get Achievements."
Cliffy B also revealed that players will be able to track the progress of their Achievements in Gears 2 (which is looking lovely, by the way):
"I don't want to get into too much of the multiplayer right now, but one thing I can confirm is that we are doing Achievement progress so that players will be able to essentially track how far they're getting with each Achievement in whichever mode."
Ok the tracking thing is sounding mighty fine but capping achievements!?!?
Surely the idea of achievements is that you achieve something so when I want the "get 10 headshots achievement" its now going to take me more than ten headshots?!?! that defeats the whole point of the achievement!
This to me is far to controversial I love gears but im not liking this idea.
dude you guys are lucky over here we pay the equivilant of around 70-75 of your dollars for a new game.
but hey beggars cant be choosers lol.
And lets be honest if exclusivity was up for grabs microsoft would quite easily outbid sony for it just look what they paid for the exclusive DLC it seems microsoft have become very shrewed at grabbing exclusive things not necessarily exclusive games but if it came down to it I would have to put my money on microsoft.
But then with GTA I very much doubt it will be exclusive again they have had alot more success since the series went multiplatform.
Im not sure if its truly a "survival horror" game, but The Suffering is the only game thats ever managed to truly make me worried about turning a corner, ok the sequel was pants but I would love to see a remake of the original.
Ive always been a big fan of the Resi series and 5 looks to take the genre in a whole new direction as does the upcoming alone in the dark which in my opinion is what the "Survival Horror" genre needs its starting to become a tad stale.
I recently pulled my old copy of Dungeon Keeper out of the cupboard of gaming memories and thought ehh what the hell,
so off I go slammed it in my laptop, installed ready to go double click the icon the joyus horny screen came up then bam splash screen-black box-nothing....
So I look this up on google seems alot of people have this trouble with vista.
I find a couple of ideas for a fix......nothing works.
So has anyone got this little gem running on vista? Or is it dead in the water?
Here we go I found the story.
"Don't get excited - really - but rumours have been zipping around the internet that Sega is considering dipping its unwisest toe back into the world of home console manufacturing. This all stems from the company's decision back in August, and only recently come to light, to update its trademark on the Dreamcast name. An application lodged with the US patent office looks to register:
Home video game machines; player-operated electronic controllers for electronic video game machines; video game interactive controller, namely, hand held pads, and floor pads or mats; joysticks for video games; computer cursor control devices, namely, computer mouse; flash memory cards; video game software, computer game programs."
I still think its probably a load of rubbish but hey any news is news.
