The 8800GT is very powerful, and has an excellent price/performance ratio, however if you are willing to drop $500 on your GPU I'd get 2

[QUOTE="kruesader"]Well, that will run Crysis on high, yesDancing_Panda

what? on an 8600gts? isnt crysis a pushy game even for the biggest, baddest rigs, high would be achievable with a better video card i reckon

You underestimate the power of SLI.... IT'S OVER 9000!

ooh *shudder* I don't know what came over me... I think I need a cold shower

If you can run GoW, you can run Halo 2. However, that doesn't mean it'll run smoothly :P

1. Generally, yes. However, there are some compatability errors, so YMMV

2. Yes

3. Dunno

4. There are lots of major issues, however, most of the actively annoying ones can be turned off

5. Yes.. the 64 bit edition

Good luck and happy gaming!

It's a good computer, for sure, but I'm not too jealous. I've just built a computer that's basically the same as what you're getting, with an 8800GTS 512 rather than the GT and an E6750 rather than a Q6600. Have fun with it!

If money is no object, http://www.falcon-nw.com/ and http://www.alienware.com/ are both good (alienware should show up on Dell's website too).

1 fps is not too much of a difference... though the E6750 is a more powerful processor, so that may be one of the factors.

A google search turned up a few that were slightly cheaper, but none of them had free shipping! :p

[QUOTE="killtheponies"][QUOTE="yoyo462001"][QUOTE="killtheponies"][QUOTE="yoyo462001"][QUOTE="killtheponies"]

[QUOTE="yoyo462001"][QUOTE="Moussi11"]alright, so will a 500 watt do the job? I can buy one for 30 $...yoyo462001

never skimp on a PSU, get a high efficent one...

500 watts is plenty for a single 8800GT

a 400 Watt high efficeny PSU is far better than a 500 Watt low efficeny one..

Yes it is. However, 500 watts is plenty for a single 8800GT

lol 400 is also enough, but it had nothing to do with how many watts it is.. all i said was dont skimp on a PSU get a high efficency one where did i even mention 500 being to less?...

Did I?

you quoted me and said 500 is enough... did i say it wasn't? i made no referral to watts at all ...so i dont no why you went off on that tangent...

I went off on the "tangent" to respond to the question of "will a 500 watt PSU do the job". Whatever... this isn't worth arguing about.
