Is there some great religious/cultural stigma against pot there?

worlock77

Cultural, yes, religious, which country doesn't. Isn't there none where you come from?

What's the stigma exactly? As I understand Ghana is a mostly christian country, and I can not think of any particular Christian stigma against marijuana. Sure, it's against the law here, but the majority of people here in the U.S. have no real problem with it.

Well, thing is, the favourite line of defence is that '' your body is the temple of the lord'' so you keep it holy. Pot makes you sick and anything that makes you sick is considered destruction of the lord's temple. But for me i've seen weed destroy friends in high school, one dude ended up mad.

[QUOTE="MrPraline"][QUOTE="kimcorecoba"][QUOTE="MrPraline"] Who cares? F*ck people telling what you cannot smoke, inhale or put into your own body. He's perfectly right on that one. Mind your own business. That goes for you, people, and the governments of Ghana, USA and whatever other countries. Smoke all you want. Freedom and toke up. Bone Thugs and Harmony.

You're an idiot. Smoke all you want but don't go telling others somewhere far from home that they too can smoke. Not everybody has Chris brown's money to bail him out of jail if they get caught. he's doing more harm than good to his audience. You have a problem with stuff like this?...take it straight to your government, tool. You and Chris are cowards, I'm willing to bet that you haven't even gone on any demonstration to advocate these bs you talking about. I'm willing to bet that Chris has never said that in America, but he finds the courage to say that in Ghana. oh yeah, he's indeed the man.

He's not telling others to smoke. He's saying that a government that tells you what you cannot smoke is your enemy. he's right on that. Calling me a tool does not remove that evil from your dear leaders.

Lol, now i know your trolling me. He says that and proceeds to smoke on stage, what do you think he's trying to put across then? why I'm i trying so damn hard to make sense to you, you're prolly high right now. Our leaders might be scum, but they're right on weed smoking, and Chris is an idiot and a coward

I'm willing to bet that you didn't read the op. I didn't say it new, I'm saying it disrespectful to do that in someone else's country.

Chris is from a a very authoritarian country that locks people up for years for smoking weed, can't blame him for acting out in a free place.

Really, we too lock people up for smoking weed. He was just fortunate to have gotten away with it. The security men in charge and the media houses responsible for him are under serious fire from the government.

meh

Didn't the guys from Cypress Hill smoke a big phatty at one of the Woodstock revivals back in the 1990s?

Netherscourge
dude, he was in a foreign land and he didn't give a **** about their culture and just spat that bs at the audience. Given the audience might have enjoyed it but it was an insult to the country and our beliefs. That was wrong.
