The United States of Krypton

Governing: Representative Democracy

Location: The newly discovered continent of krypton.

Exports: Video games, Ice cream, computers, weapons.

Transport: Electric hover crafts which are charged by the electricity generated by wind mills.

Military: The military will be strongly funded and national security will be of the utmost importance. All citizens who are deemed responsible will be required to own weapons in the case of an invasion. If you wish to immigrate to Krypton you must serve 4 years in the military to earn your citizenship.

Social Programs: Due the very low taxes very few social programs exist outside of fire, police transportation and minimal welfare. Education and other traditionally government funded programs will be controlled by the private sector. Krypton is a capitalist nation.

Government: The government will have four branches, military, social, law and executive. The laws are made by the law department of the government but can be vetoed by the executive. Military decides all defense related matters but can be vetoed by the law branch. The social branch handles all matters of social programs, and can be vetoed by executive branch as well. Lastly executive is in charge of making sure all the branches work together, in the form of a president and vice president. All officials in each branch are elected every 5 years.

Penal System: Extremely harsh punishments are used to deal with criminals, a local branch of the law branch will decide guilt or innocence and if death is the penalty it will be immediate by method of firing squad.

Holidays: No religious holidays are official there is a one moth mandatory vacation for all working people which can be taken at any time. All religous denominations are accepted.

Energy: Wow how lucky are we that constant winds on krypton allow for wind to power our whole nation.

Environment: The environment ranges from beautiful lush rain forests, to rolling hills to baron deserts. The majority of land is occupied by open planes which is where most development has taken place.
