Not in it's current form.kamikaze_pigmy

Why not? What do you feel it needs to be more of a "future proof" technology?

I think it will evolve and change beyond it's current form. I think that, now it's established, a large network of individuals sharing information will always exist, but how we access and interact with that data might be entirely different from what we are used to now.

I understand, its hard to think of how it would work exactly, but its not our job to do that.

Tc, if you want to learn more about how the internet would change our lives. Id strongly suggest watching all three episodes of 2057. It was made in 2007, showing what the world might be like in 50 years. I know its not accurate, but how could it be. Anyway, it really shows how the internet could change us.

Is it more like a permanent thing? or like a technology that will fade out?

Its revolutionary, its THE biggest invention next to electricity. Its here to stay, although i feel it has a long way to go.

I agree, but couldn't the same thing be said about faxes? It's the best thing since the mail system?

No, we dont need to buy encyclopedias, we dont need to wait weeks to know a war has started, we can now comunicate with people across the world. It changed humanity for the better. Just think about how many times the internet has made your life easier.

because, as claimed numerious times.

cows are 'above' shooters;)

implying that shooters somehow make you worse of a person... funny.

no implying that shooters are the generic genre of this gen, played one played them all for the most part. but seems xbox owners cant get enough of them. the sooner they die the better imo. last gen was so much better thanks to this pile of generic crap we get nowadays. what happend to original titles, little niche games you would find and play endlessly, this gen is all about huge budgets and big explosions. bunch of bs.

its not like any other genres changed it up.

Tilapia is a crapfish. Halibut or cod is where it's at!!

Take that back! All fish ive ever had is exellent.

Ok, ok. Im sorry for that. My dad was a fisherman so he gave me free fish all the time. I guess I got spoiled.

What kind of fish did he catch? Where did he fish? Im going salmon fishing in lake michigan in october, fresh salmon is absolutley delicious.

Oooh, i see many moderations from this thread. I love consoles because i dont know how to make a pc, buying one is too expensive and i dont have the money. And i really dont feel like taking the time to learn to build a rig, there are only a handfull of games id like to play on pc, its just not worth it. With consoles i can just come home, relax and just play.

Assassin's Creed, due to the fact that it's a computer simulation.

honestly, this is the only one that makes sense. You cant just say "but its futuristic". You dont know if the nano suit or medi gel actually works. Just because they give it a face, dosent mean it would work.
