Yes the title is correct. Last week I bought a PSP and as you may know I'm a bit of a XBOX fanboy and love to diss sony but I really wanted to have a handheld console because the last one I had was the Gameboy Color. Seeing there is not xbox handheld I had to choose between a DS lite and PSP and after a long time of looking on gamespot I desided to go for a PSP as the games were more like consoles and were not all crazy cartoon style characters like Mario etc. So I bought Metal Gear Portable Ops (US Import) and it's pretty cool.

I thought I'd write a new blog entry about the new gaming comp I made. I have 4 desktops now 2x 2.8Ghz 1x3.1Ghz and my new one 2.4 Intel Core 2 Duo. It's great for gaming so thats all I'm keeping it for as my current one is great anyway bar the graphics card.

Here is the rough spec of my main computer:

I also got a new 5.1 speaker setup and a new 24" widescreen monitor that supports upto 1920x1200. With all this new stuff I tryed out loads of new demos wacking up everything bit of detail, res etc in the settings and all the games worked well even the F.E.A.R demo but when turning up everything in FEAR and running it at 1600x1200 (I think that was the resoloution as the top one was 1920x1240 and was just out of range for my monitor) I seen a little bit of slow down in frame rate but was not very noticable. Everything else I tested one with full settings on worked a treat like GTR2 without having any drop in frame rate. The only annoying thing is. That they looked better than my 360 now and the fact that the games are much cheaper is a thing that could slightly persude me over to the PC gaming side. but there still is not any points with games yet and from what I see it's only going to be vista games with points. I had bought the Vista RC1 disk from Microsofts website and had it running for about a month but it was crap so I took it off. I wish they brought the points to XP games then I might not mind what platform I'm playing it on. Not that I'm a crazy guy who collects tons of gamer point but I love the fact you can show others what you have don't and still would prefer to buy the more expensive version for the points.

Well here are my thoughts on Gamespots After Hours event. Fistly although it started at 5pm in America, for me it started at 1am , but hey it sounded good enough to wait untill 7am to get some sleep. So I decided to watch the main stage for the whole 6 hours but had my laptop on to, so I could glance at some of the other stuff on the other cams at the same time. Homer Cam seemed to be the the best of the other cams as for robo cam errr it wasn't that good lol. Well the show seemed to start off a tad slow with just a load of Guitar Hero II. lol and no FreeeeeBiirrrrrdd. As it progressed the stage demos were good and the I like the flatening of the grass in the COD3 sounds a cool way to find enemies and the Demo of Sing Star with Alex and Ryan was entertaining. One thing I was looking forward to listening to was Midnight Brown as I think there stuff is great.  And the performance was great ,even if Jeff's lyrics sheets went all over the floor :). Also great to hear new stuff from the new album. I can't wait for next year then. Finally MC Chris was last on and actually was quite good even though I havn't heard of him before and at least he didn't seem to be at a games event and not have any knowledge of games. So over all the event was superb and the music section was a great way to finished the show. Bring on the next After Hours

Well I actually did get the Broken ridge racer traded in even though she checked the disc and missed the glaringly obvious mark. I got £14 for it :x which is pretty low as I'msure they will be selling it for £44.99 or £39.99. whats worse is my xbox games were only worth £1 :x :o and really bad game like nightcaster actually got more money (£2) so with the trade in money being so low I decided to by amped 3 instead as the store prices are always £10 more than other shops. So i've been playing amped 3 the last 2 days and I've finnished the story mode and still playing. The game is pretty cool even though the story and style of the game is totally off the wall.

Well I'm off to play more amped. Untill the next blog , play hard but fair !!!

Hye again everyone I came back ages a go but havn't found time to write anything in my blog. At this time of writing this blog I am at my new college. because I was so quick at doing the binary, hex and decimal test they had I thought I'd come on here and natter. well today TDU comes out and I am hoping of buying it for the 360 though I'm straped for chash and game and game station are charing the full £49.99 :x so I'm going to try and trade in my Ridge Racer 6 game even though it's broke :| but it wasn't my fault 2 weeks after buying that game the my 360 burnt a mark in my disc and won't play anymore. Seeing that wont cover the cost I might get rid of some of my xbox games I don't like as well like dreamcaster or what ever it's called I played that for 5 mins when I first got it and havn't played since starsky and hutch that game was crap some other games I might give away are XIII which really liked but don't mind giving away as the videos in the game don't runs for the 360 properly also I might get rid of Deux Ex Invisable war which when it came out sounded and exellent game but I never really played it much after buying it. So as for test drive unlimited ... when I first tryed it I thought this game is soo sweet the second demo though kinda was old hat and you'd seen it all before and I just checked the review and the score isn't super but I still think that the game will be great so if I can get the broken disc traded then I'll hopefully get that. Oh and finally no PS3 in Europe this xmas and shortages in the us and japan thats some of the best news I've heard all year "XBOX 360 RULES". I'll be back with another blog at some point untill then support the 360.

Tomorrow I'm off to Belfast in Ireland so likely wont be on Gamespot for a day or 2 hopefully not. Lately I haven't been playing my 360 to much with the arrival of my new 50" HD plazma for the lounge, but have had time to check out the recent demos on marketplace. "Saints Row" definitely seems a good game to fill in for the time waiting for GTA 4's release. Although accelerating with the "A" button instead of the "RT" was a pain at first, but afer a while you get used to them. Anyways I'll blog next time I'm on, thanks for reading.

Hey Hey,

Well this is my first of what hopefully will be many blogs on Gamespot. Although I spend everyday (about 3 times day) since I joined gamespot looking at the site. I never really decided to post or do anything other than read the latest news mainly on the Xbox 360 page. but since I look at the site non stop and watch and listen to every episode of On the Spot and the Hotspot. I thought I better start using some of the other features too. In this Blog I think I should just tell you about my views of gaming seeing this in my first blog. I think the first game I ever played was The Secret of Monkey Island (PC) then Alone in the Dark (PC) and for the next few years all my games were on PC. Alghough I would have liked having a games console in the early to late 90's my dad would get me one as he thought they wern't as good as a computer. The first console I got was the Playstaion for Christmas 1998 and played on that machine for hours and hours and growing to love Playstion through those years. By Christmas 2002 I was wanting a new console and was considering to get a PS2 as it would have teh backwards compatibility of my other games I had collected over the years. My dad insisted that the Xbox was better and that Christmas I got an xbox. Since then I have never liked Playstaion (well not so much the PS1 as I had a lot of good memories with that machine and still have in plugged in to my tv). With the all the crap from everyone that owned a PS2 at the time about how good it was compared to the Xbox. It drove me to so much hatred of PS2 owners. So when it came to Christmas 2005 I got a 360 with 6 games 2 wireless controllers and wireless network adapter.Argghhh I actually got the 360 12 days after launch but wasn't allowed to open it until Christmas, think of the points I could have been earning ;) . Later in March I got A new 32" Samsung HDTV for my bedroom so thats what my current situation is with consoles. Oh and I got 2 gameboy colours but the only games I bought for them were Pokemon ones (lol what was I thinking).

Well I better go now it's 2:15 am but thats usual for me being on gamespot as I live in the Uk "On the Spot" Doesn't come on untill Midnight lol.
