SER: That is a cool idea...but what would the second wii-mote be for during the shooting sections? Additional aiming accuracy? Dual "wielding" ? ;) Actually...that last idea sounds potentially cool.

Air: Do you know the people at Ubisoft well enough to say they couldn't possibly come up with a good idea? It sounds like your comment is just a groundless bias.

And did you forget that the gamecube controller had/has an ANALOG r-button, making pressing it to shoot kind of like squeezing a sponge? What are you thinking? How could that possibly be a good idea?

Air Wolf--I can't believe you decided not to play it after trying Hunters and Echoes. Those are easily the two weakest entries in the Metroid series. Didn't you ever play the original Metroid Prime? Or the 2D metroids for that matter? Corruption is up to par with them, although admittedly it suffers from the ship-flying sections. It is an excellent game, and hasn't gotten its full due yet. I have a feeling it will get more popular and recognized with time, but I could be wrong. I totally agree with you about Hunters, though. It had a really awkward control scheme...

And I'm really looking forward to Red Steel 2. It's the only OriginaL fps on the wii. All the other fps-s on the wii are total ripoffs, and that includes a popular, upcoming fps which will remain shamefully nameless. Sigh...why don't people support a good idea like multiple weapon-type fp action!? It's brilliant!

The concept for Tenchu looks so outdated. Is it just a ninja stealth-killing game? Seems like a worn game type.

I don't understand why anyone would feel the need for a change of pace. The hilarious thing about all of the ideas people come up with, in my opinion, is that they're all already in a Zelda game. Examples: outer space--------twilight realm (twilight princess). wild west---------moblin village (in Twilight Princess). industrial revolution--------death mountain mines (twilight princess)The future---------Hyrule Castle (Wind Waker) Time travel------Temple of Time (Ocarina of Time). Why do people advocate things that have already been included in Zelda games, as if they're new ideas? The thing is, Zelda uses reference points from MANY different historical periods to create a general sense of timelessness. Putting it firmly in some historical era would do nothing less than destroy the game. It would be like putting Mario in an aquarium in a dentists office, for an entire game. Final point: Zelda is NOT a Medieval game. The medieval references in it are there to suggest themes of nobility, chivalry, and commitment to an ideal. They are not meant to be literal place markers in history. That's it for me.

Well, Wilddog, I don't think it's a "stupid" idea. But I do think it would totally deflate the mythological aspect of the series. Have you considered that making the game more recent, or even futuristic, might reduce the beauty and impact of the game's themes? It would become just another action/adventure title. I can't think of anything worse in gaming than that outcome.

And Midna would be your navigator. And You would report back to Ganondorf in NASA headquarters, and you would have to go to astronaut camp, where your little green outfit would look funny through the gold-tinted glass shield of your space-mask. And your sword would accidentally poke a hole in your space suit and all the air would gush out and then you'd die and the game would be over. Whoops!
