No one lives forever 2 is confirmed NOT working because it requires T&L. I'll try the original T&L and try and get the original Half Life game.

Hmm, so should I try and find an original disc for HL1? I may see if my friend has it, he seems to have plenty of old games.

half life should work. it works on my little laptop. i also recommend quake 2.

skyyfox1
Yeah, you would think so, but my computer just didn't like it. Might be the hardware or something. I did everything imaginable to try and get it playable. I would get 100 fps while strafing in the north direction, but as soon as i turned and tried to run forward in that direction, instant 12 fps or less. Pretty weird, but it's ok, im over it now :). Hmm, mafia looks interesting, but my computer barfs on big outdoor levels, but i might give it a try. Especially since there is a demo

[QUOTE="strope"]Escape from Castle Wolfenstein No one lives forever Star Trek Voayger: Elite force AOE 2 and 3 GTA 3, VC, and SA Civ 3 Rise of Nations

I found return to castle wolfenstein, I wonder how that one would play. No one lives forever looks pretty good, and so does the second one. I'll have to try and find both for cheap somewhere and they fit the build of exactly what I am looking for. I'm just so sick of playing FPS with boring story lines (ie: just kill). I'm getting the demo now, should keep me busy tomorrow. I may also look into grim fandango. And i already have starcraft :)

How about Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2? That's assuming you can get them running. No luck so far here with 64-bit Win 7.

Funny you mentioned that, my gf actually has dungeon keeper 1, so I may just try that one out. And looks quite fun i might add, but reminds me of many other RTS that i already play, we'll see if i can fit this one in. But willing to give it a try since I like the fact that you can go from 3rd person to first person.

Plants vs. Zombies, is a great fun game, and useful for wasting time.

I'll def give it a shot, especially since there seems to be a trial version of it. As far as Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, i'm not really interested in playing an RPG, but thanks for the suggestions. Keep the suggestions coming, i really enjoy seeing what kind of games I can put on this tiny computer.

Basically the scoop is that I have a small netbook that I am trying to put a bunch of games on for fun. here is what I have so far so you can judge what works and what won't AVP2 Starcraft Red alert 2 COD 1 Medal of honor: AA and breakthrough Unreal Tournament Theif 2: The metal age BF 1942 Halo Combat evolved Won't work: Half life, Half life 2 (HL2 works on indoor levels at around 25 fps) So what I want from yall are games that are around the same hardware intensive but that you found to be one of the best games that you have ever played.

let me do a query for you select count(game_id) from game_database; There you go, I think that should just about do it. But seriously, I have no idea, but the query to find out (if you had the actual database) would be pretty much that.

Sorry, but "2 days" isnt an accurate representation of time.

2 days is 48 hours, for all anyone knows you played the game for 25 hours over those 2 days.

Black_Knight_00
Ever heard of 'average play time'? The average weekend play time is 4 hours a day (2 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening), which brings us a total of 8 hours over a weekend, which incidentally is the length of most shooters today.

So? Why would I assume that everybody who plays meets these requirements? I think it's best to just stick to saying hours rather than days. Anyways, I agree with the OP, I actually don't really like the influx in multiplayer games as they all seem to feel the same these days. I only buy games with extensive campaigns, lets say 15+ hours of play. If you haven't played Half Life 2, you should, the campaign is quite long.

I wouldn't say that the ipod is really a good indicator of games to come, so don't hold your breathe for it.
