I hope we get MP3 this year ... Super Paper Mario is coming out in September, and that's about 5 months after the american/japanese release ... so we can't be sure about SMG either.
I get the "Unplayable disc" a lot too ... I don't know if it's broken. My Forza 2 disc got scratched by loading a race yesterday. And now it says "Unplayable disc" much more often. :/
I haven't tried using it on another TV ... but I have a Wii and an Xbox 360 connected to the same TV, and they don't have that problem. it's only the PS2. :(
I've had my PS2 for over six years now, and there has never been a problem, until yesterday. I was playing through some old games, and until I got to the end of MGS2, I was watching a cut-scene, when suddenly the screen moved an inch or two up in the left corner. Like, if you go into the "Screen Adjustment" menu in Options ( in MGS2) and you adjust the scrren to "-14 and -14" ... it's missing some of the screen.
There isn't some screen adjustment menu in the PS2 menu itself ... so I have to change the screen adjustment in every game, whenever I start the PS2 again. It's pretty annoying! And I've cleaned the whole console, unscrewed everything and cleaned it from dust, cleaned the lense etc. ... does anyone have any suggestion, or do you think my PS2 is broken? If I change the screen adjustment in fx Metal Gear Solid 2 to -14 and -14, the screen is in the right place, so the console shouldn't be broken. I just can't change the screen size anywhere, only in the games. :(
