does anyone know when the fix for useing dvd's on ur psp will be coming out

cause my ps3 does not play dvd's or ps2 games PLEASE PM ME WITH ANSWER PLZZZ

I am really pissed off with my ps3 i just bought it and when i tryed to play a normal dvd it said cannot play and some crap about a region im in (i live in canada) then i tryed to put in a ps2 game same thing i did not try blue ray cause i do not wanna waste my money if it does not work does anyone else have this problem if so how do you fix?
