Some of those single player games underperformed, yes, but the nature of single player games is that they tend to disappear into the background when new releases come to market. There are highly active communities for all of the above if you go looking for them.

Also (and I am by no means a Nintendo shill), Skyward sword HD sold 4.15 million units to date. Thats FAR from "bombing". The original just released at the wrong time and with a poorly received control scheme. The game WAS solid. MGS V also sold more than 10 million units - this didnt kill the series, Konami's poor business management did.

Quality leather-bound books can be expensive, but not $100+ expensive for what are essentially reprints. This is just a cash in designed to exploit fans with fomo, and thats genuinely sad.
