Actually you lie, only the CPU 256Mb ram are fast, the 256MB video ram are same as 360 in speed, so the CPU ram speed does not help much

Actually, they have the same amount of RAM, the 360's is just more efficient and flexible.

Actually they do have the same main ram, BUT the OS in PS3 takes up 64MB, while on 360 just 32MB, so 360 has 32MB more for games

Plus the 10MB EDRAM embedded in the GPU, that saves both ram and ram bandwidth

So, it has at least 42MB more ram for games, not including the fact that the 10MB EDRAM is far better than the main ram, and has calculation abilities too

There is no real contest there, PS3 hardware was made to promote cell and blue ray, and 360 was made to run game code efficiently

That is the reason why 360 has gone so far ahead of PS3 in game worlds and visuals, and why PS3 could never do ebything close to games like Fable 2, Gears 2, Alan Wake, Banjo 3, Mass Effect etc
