I'd say being intelligent is knowing a lot of facts and how to apply them in the right situations, while being wise is knowing how, when and where to act in a certain way. Someone can be very intelligent, but not wise. (I know someone like that. He has excellent grades and knows alot of stuff but damn he does some dumb things.) And vice versa.

Well, yes. Intelligence is only one parameter of somebody's personality.

Also, I think that it's not important to be very intelligent, more important is to be aware of your abilities, no matter how big/small they are.

I think one IQ test shouldn't be a measurement for intelligence. You can score 120, but at a other IQ test (there are more) you can score just like 70 pts.

If you talk to somebody you get your own point of view of him - if he's intelligent or not.

I partially agree. First, I do not like timed tests. Somebody can't express all his/her abilities in 30-40 minutes. There are high range IQ tests with no time limitation. They were born together with internet, becoming more popular from day to day.

Second, there are various mental abilities: spatial, numerical, verbal, etc. Somebody can be good with spatial items, and less good with verbal ones, or vice versa.

Here we can discuss on intelligence, intelligence quotient (IQ), IQ tests, IQ societies, etc.

Let me give some reasons for introducing this important topic. Some people think that they are stupid, and they are not. Also, bright person could be interested in how bright he/she is. This can be useful when looking for a job, for instance.

Because I am limited with only one external link, I decided to present World Intelligence Network, a non-profit organization which gather 29 IQ societies.

Is anybody interested in IQ stuff?
