It wouldn't be a factor for me as I only see online play as an added plus; not my main focus. I don't own a 360 yet because I'm waiting for the falcon units to arrive. Based on my gameplay on the XBox, online won't be a big deal and in fact the 1st games I plan on playing will all have great offline play.
I've been playing video game for over 20 years and Bioshock is 1 of the best I've ever played. The fact that it actually surpasses it's prequel -System Shock 2- is really amazing as that was an AAA game in it's own right.IMHO this is a must play game for any video game fan!

No, I believe the appeal to ex NES and SNES fans is attributing quite a bit . IMHO the biggest factors are price and new gameplay possibilites with the Wiimote, but you can't discount previous gen fan loyalts. What I think is happening is a lot of the fans lost to the PS1 and PS2 are returning. Remember those 5-12 year olds became teenagers and eventualy adults, so the PS1 and then the PS2 seemed to have more of what they wanted. I know personally from co-workers and friends that have bought or want to buy a Wii, that fond memories of the SNES and NES is a big factor. The fact that they can now download and play those games on VC amongst their friends and families is a big plus for them.

LOL...now that was funny. You're not a bad person if you don't get MP3 day 1 or any other game for that matter, but I bet you'll get it sooner than you planned once the reviews start coming in.
How do they work? in 3 words;very, very well. If you're friend isn't getting excellent control with them, then he's screwed up with their setup or the wavebird'sbatteries need replacing.
Why not save up, get a wii, then play all your favourite snes, nes, genesis etc games on the VC? It will end up being cheaper too, pawn shops rip you off big time when it comes to buying a single snes cartridge. They are something like collectors items nowadays.
VC is the way to go.

I've admittedly barely touched Oblivion; only about 10 hrs play time. But from even that amount of time I'd have to say Morrowind is the better game. Something that's often overlooked about Morrowind are the rogue classes; IMHO probably the best ever in any single play RPG.
