Hey all,

I set my pagefile size to 4096mb min and max. However, in dxdiag, pagefile size was 6150mb, why is it like that?

Thanks

Hey all,

Recently, a lot of applications (games mainly) detect that there is a change in hardware and screws up the settings.

Namely, The Witcher, where there will be this warning that says minimum requirements not met and refuses to run. Splinter Cell Double Agent also doesn't have my regular 1680x1050 resolution anymore. These games used to run properly before.

I know I didn't install any new drivers or whatnot, and I really doubt its my PC specs that is low.

PC Specs:
Intel Quad 6600
3.2GB RAM
GeForce 8800GTX

Anyone knows what's going on? Thanks

Yes, but that is not the point.

The question is why does it seem like most of my physical memory is cached although I set pagefile size to 4096mb?

And also why the percentage of physical memory used and the actual value stated in task manager not tally?

Hey all,

I have 3.2GB of RAM (4GB actually but Vista Home Premium recognizes it as 3.2GB) and 4096mb (min and max) of pagefile memory.

When I look at the Physical Memory section in the Task Manager, its always seems like I have no free memory at all and most of it is cached.

However, it also only indicates that 31% of Physical Memory is being used.

What is the problem? Thanks

Audacity is nice, but it only records from my mic. I did more seaches, I guess what I'm looking for is some kind of direct stream recorder.

Anyone knows any free ones?

Hey all,

Anyone knows any free sound recording software? I searched around and downloaded a few free ones but they only seem capable of recording from my mic.

Are there any programs that can record what my computer is playing without use of a mic or some sound card device? Btw, I'm using the SigmaTel Audio Codec.

Thanks
