Choga, you never answered me.

What music do you listen to? I'm just curious.

Choga

I must have missed your post. I listen to classical, metal, and folk. Although sometimes I delve into other genres.

Then why are you even on this thread? I understand that we have different tastes in music, but that doesn't mean you should be such a jerk and get your fifteen seconds of fame.

Because I can...

Choga is just a person who is into the whole "alternate reality matrix" type of thing and will bring that subject in on anything he encounters in life. In MY reality i am violent and rap music which is violent speaks to me and i love it.

You're the one making ignorant generalizations. I just assumed the position of being just as annoying.

So who do you think is the best rapper ever?

You really want my opinion? Even though you're probably going to bash it?

Okay, sure. Whatever. I personally like Edan.

Oh i see im not gonna bash your opinion. But i will say i heard waaaaaaay better.

So what if he donated to African American funds? Real change can only come from within. And yes rap did, and still to this day promotes needless violence. Since you listen to rap, you should know this.

You just asked did he do anything important philosophically. And this topic was not about Rap promoting violence. Cause it does im just saying tupac changed my life, period.

[QUOTE="Choga"]Rap and hip-hop are nothing more than transient garbage...music made for the lowest common denominator.Choga

I hate people like you who bash things like that. You may not like rap but as a man you should respect the good rappers who do things differently and changed the way people live. Tupac was the best and greatest.

How has rap changed the way people live?

tupac brought peace to the crips and the bloods with his music. for a little while at least.

old rap made kids think about what they were doing before they went and stole something or beat someone. new rap promotes stealing and beatings.

what are some of the things the artists from your favourite music done for society that they cant just write a cheque for?

Did he do anything important philosophically? I think not. And old rap was just as shallow and violence-promoting as the new stuff. Just listen to some NWA and you'll know what I mean. The music I listen to is a rejection of modern society, and all that it holds dear. Rejection of individualism, consumerism, industrialism, and all of the things that degenerate humanity and the Earth.

Tupac has donated to many african american funds. Thats one of the reasons he was loved so much. Tell me why do you make assumptions like that when you dont know your facts? Are you that ignorant?

And who do you think is the king of rap?

Cerussite

I have to LOL @ this post.

B05T0N

why dont you listen to "thats the way it is" by tupac and tell me that doesnt hold a **** load more meaning than some skinny punk in a baggy hoody telling me to watch him "supa soak dat hoe".

tupac is the very definition of hip hop/rap, therefore he wins.

OptimusPrimo

So, just because I hate 2Pac, you gain the right to act, well, stupid?

2Pac did nothing new for rap, and as far as I'm concerned, he was generic as hell. Yes, 2Pac was generic. Now shut up.

*speechless*
