Well done for changing your life man. Lots of people make grandiose plans but it takes real dedication to actually follow through with those ideas and even more to continue with them.
I love The Simpsons and have watched them since the very beginning. Whenever I'm having a bad day Homer will always put a smile back on my face.
The one show I really miss though is Beavis and Butthead, those 2 idiots used to have me rolling with laughter at their ridiculous antics, it was great tv??
For me sound is the thing that sets atmosphere more than anything else. Pretty visuals are all well and good but without a good soundtrack it all feels flat and lifeless.
Take GTA for example, it looks nice and is a sprawling world with lots of stuff going on, traffic, people, animals, general everyday living noises, it's a great experience and very immerse.
Now imagine the game without any of that, it would be a very different experience entirely and nowhere near as much fun to play.
I had Midnight Club LA and enjoyed driving around the city freely, however, the actual racing events were unnecessarily difficult and I never did finish the game because of it.
F Zero on the N64 in multiplayer was some of the most fun me and my friends ever had in gaming and even all these years later we still laugh about it.
The random course generator was a leveller ensuring no one had any course advantage so things would get highly competitive between us.
I miss those days, modern gaming where you talk to a faceless opponent through a mic just can't compare to a big group of friends sitting around together smoking and laughing at each other.
