[QUOTE="Blackbond"][QUOTE="PS3nut"]I could give you a list of at least 10 reasons why i hate Microsoft.
4 - Charging money to play online while Sony offers the same experience for free
All of the above are indisputable facts regardless of what a fanboy you might be but 360 boy's will put their 2 cents in anyway, whatever, i personally can only hope that Microsoft's next OS is as much of a failure as Vista and they die a nice slow death because of it.
Long live Mac and PS3.

Indisputable facts my behind. Sony offers the same experience as XBL for free? All of the above are indisputable facts regardless of what a fanboy you might be? Good thing BlackBond isn't a fanboy. Prove your claim or forever hold your peace and I'm telling you right now there is no way you can prove number 4.
So let's hear it, what is this miraculous, unbeatable , enlightening, online gaming experience you get from XBL, thats not offered on PSN because i for one have played on both networks extensively, and gameplay and communication on games like Call of Duty 4, Madden 09, or Tiger Woods 09 have been an identical experience. The Playstation store offers everything the Xbox Live market place offers, we have virtually the same DLC for games and PSN games, but your right there is 2 major differences, first, we have the " Free Social Community of HOME", and we have the online experience "FREE", so please 360 fanboys spare us, you're so called superior XBL experience has not only been matched it's been beaten down, by PSN and HOME and that's a fact you can't change. I'm sure it's mere coincidence that in the near year and a half that i owned a 360 and played on Live i had only 2 friends in my list, but in the mere days that i've had Playstation HOME i have nearly 20 friends in my list, why ? because it's a " Real Social Community " and something XBL does not offer. You mean the FREE social community of HOME where you have to PAY to start a club (free on XBL), pay for virtual clothes. And by SOCIAL community, do you mean the gangs of immature people trying to gangbang any female avatars?
Just accept that Xbox360 matches the PS3 in every area and in certain aspects exceeds it. As a loyal Sony fanboy that you are, hating MS is not going to make them fail, but instead question why Sony has not to this day blown MS out of the water, and why they are notprioritizingthe perceived weakness of the PS3 (price, no BC, price).
Let's be pessimistic because this is often the reality:
1. Every home in developed nations will own at least 2 Wiis, 4 wii fit boards, and no doubt numerous other pieces of useless plastic associated with the Wii.
2. 360 will continue to RROD, and we'll hear about it on SW forums.
3. PS3 still 3rd place in sales but Kaz Hirai will always produce a positive spin.
4. Home is taken offline for further development.
5. SE releases 3 new CGI trailer for ff13, each one more confusing that the previous.
6. GT5 delayed to 2010.
7. Halo games flop hard.
8. 2009 is one of the worst gaming years in recent history.
at first there wasnt, but when they put the plasmid pack out for the 360 a bit later it added in he option to turn them off. makes the game so much better, forces you to be more strategic I have the 360 version and I didn't know about it like I said, the game is ruined for me now and I don't feel getting back to play it and try to finish it, also the repetitiveness is so much in the game and Im not exaggerating with this one.[QUOTE="mtradr43"][QUOTE="HAZE-Unit"] is there an option? if so, I didn't know about it at the time and the concept ruined my experience with the game.HAZE-Unit
Thats one problem down, the other one will be there in Bioshock forever and I hope they will change alot in Bioshock 2.
I mean after killing the first big daddy, it was the same thing over and over again, 3-5 mintues ( maybe more time ) of empty places then there was some splicers, rinse and repeat then go to the next big daddy, kill it , choose between killing the little sister or not then rinse and repeat the whole process.
You are one tough gamer to please my man. The gameplay makes sense in the context of the story. I personally found certain aspects of the game repetitive but what kept me absorbed was the fantastic art direction, exotic locations, finding the story diaries, and driving the story forward. I couldn't wait to see different parts of Rapture, meet its citizens and listen to what they had to say about the events which unfolded. The vita-chamber was also cleverly interwoven as part of the story. Name a game with enough gameplay variety which satisfied you. Gears of War? Cover/shoot/chainsaw. Halo? Shoot/Jump/Grenade. Mario? Jump. These gameplay elements were insanely repetitive but fun in the context of the environment. When people say GTA, it shows how much they don't want the industry to grow as a medium. Instead of getting an epic crime drama with tragic meanings that actually makes the Mature rated game actually mature, all of us want "OMG GIVE ME OLD GTA BACK WIT DA JET PACKS AND TEH FUNZ!" it just shows how absolutely immature we are as a community. GTA 4 is a game that moves the industry in a direction that makes the mainstream view games as an art medium, but for some reason people don't want that, and rather have people on the outside world treating games like toys and putting out legislators and bans on these violent games to "save the children."
God, if you can't see why GTA 4 got 10s from everywhere, your probably too immature to understand.

Get off your righteous highground and take a realistic look at the industry. In case you haven't noticed, the biggest growth in the industry currently comes from the Wii, which is being marketed (and very successfully) as a toy for the family rather than a medium of art. Games can be art and also be very fun, Shadow of Colossus, Bioshock are a few examples.
Now GTA4 is a good game, but I have say that in trying to tell a mature story in GTA4, the game actually exposed just how silly and non-sensical the concept is. I mean every mission requires Niko to go to point A, kill people, return, repeat until end of story. Why does he have to work for these people? How can he get away with slaughtering 30 people in 20minutes and no repercussions? Why can't he not kill these people and find other solutions? Why have immature radiostations but not tanks roaming Liberty City? The game tries too hard to be serious but does not reinvent itself enough in terms of gameplay to match that, and the result is full of contradictions which neither satisfies the serious tone of the story, nor the slapstick gameplay which the previous GTAs are known for. At least with Gears 2, you know you'll love it if you loved the previous Gear game so it cannot be a disappointment. Because of all this, GTA4 in my opinion is the most overrated game this year, and personally most disappointing game I have ever played.
