Why you ask? Because It marks end of the Macon Cherry Blossom festival.

I know what you're thinking, "Why Should I care?. I don't live in Macon, Georgia nor care about cherries, before this I didn't even know there was a cherry tree or a Georgia for that matter." To which I reply, "Screw you". So lets all mourn for this sad day.
