Hmmm good question

Do you want one of the greatest turn-based only strategy game (civ 4)?

Or do you want a pretty good turn-based strategy game that has a dash of realtime combat (Total War)?

mrbojangles25

oo so CIV 4 does not have any war in it like Rome does? I like being able to war i didnt know civ didnt have that i thought it did

Oh no, Civ 4 has lots of war if thats what you want.  Its just the battles arent real-time as they are in Total War.

o no i want to build and i want to control my army in battle as well so is Rome the better choice for me?

which would be a better buy Civ IV or Rome total war + the Barbarian invasion expansion??  Also i have a computer that runs Company of Heroes on high and runs WoW on all high settings and gets a consistent 40-50 FPS even when in large raids will that be good enough to run both of the aforementioned games????

Thanks for reading

Wow, so you actually want to gather resources, huh? That's the most ancient and obsolete RTS feature. I love what Relic did with it in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and Company of Heroes. Even in Homeworld gathering resources wasn't as annoying as in most other games. Man, when I played the Age of Empires III demo I felt like I was warped back to 1996...*shudders*

UpInFlames

Yea i know its old but that is what i played YEARS ago and i enjoyed it playing Company of Heroes i just dont like the gathering of resources. So is there anything new with that type of gathering or no am i out of luck and have to get used to new gathering techniques?
