What do you guys think about the 360 and PS3 being maufactured by some of the same companies? Will it help bring up the build quality of the 360 to the same as the PS3?

My point is that good games take time. Not to mention that Microsoft is in an especially weak position right now because of Windows Vista floppage and their Yahoo merger debacle. Microsoft may have been willing to take risks on the original Xbox, but when money is tighter for the company, they will not be taking as many risks-- instead resorting to releasing the same games over and over in an attempt to boost sales. Enjoy Gears of War 2, I have better things to look forward to.

2. LOL "releasing the same games over and over" Enjoy MGS4, GT5, FF13

You mean like you guys enjoyed Halo 3?

Yes. I will probably enjoy MGS4 and GT5 as well.

But to make out that the PS3 does not have old tried and tested franchises as well as the 360 is idiotic. Also Gears of War was a new IP.

I have had a 360 from launch and a month ago I bought a PS3. If you can afford it get both but if you can't then stick with the 360. It is still easily the best console imo.

But anyway the article went on to say that at shipping the 360 version will not have the features due to the fact it wont fit on the cd. BlackPlague1

cd? No game this gen will fit on a cd.

Lol. Slow news day.

To play any xbox game online you need a hard drive.

So to play burnout online the conclusion of this story is that you need a hard drive!

Brilliant.

The biggest problem was the solder holding the graphics chips on the motherboard. It just was not strong enough. It kept melting. So the new mobo's have got stronger solder and the mobo gets replaced when you send it for repair.
