A tornado warning was issued for my county about a half hour ago. No tornado touched down, but we got some heavy rain and hail. I did not take this picture.

Hurricane Dean, as of the 2pm advisory, has peak winds of 125mph, making it a category three hurricane, and also making it a major hurricane.
Yesterday, Dean was upgraded to a hurricane. Now, it is supposedly going to take more of a westerly track toward Texas, but that is uncertain. This is most likely going to be the first major hurricane this year.
A new tropical depression in the Atlantic Ocean formed this morning. The current track takes it towards the Caribbean, but if it inches slightly to the north while it is still out there, the East Coast of the US could be in for a major hurricane.
A long range weather model known as GFS is predicting a hurricane to head for the East Coast in about a week and a half. It's only a prediction, though.
