My first purchase of this game will probably be Wii U, then maybe steam when it drops in price. I need more Wii U games right now, and Little Inferno was pretty good on the Wii U.
Disney has even more marketing experience than Activision, and they have those big franchises, and parents willing to buy Disney collectibles. I'd say it's good competition. Arrogant Activision. Like Rock Band wasn't a threat, right?
It just feels cheap and empty, like as bad as TOR. I bought and played for a month after launch, got to 80, and the game didn't keep my attention after that. Gold was too hard to acquire, and they just kept nerfing everything that made the game less of a grind. Not to mention all the bans they handed out. WvWvW ended up being a disappointment. I don't see how they could fix this game enough to win back people that aren't attached to the teat of NCsoft.
I personally don't think either system will do as well as last generation. There isn't much they can bring to the table, except cloud gaming. Last gen improved so many things, bluray for PS3 and XBL for 360. I think it's just going to be more of the same.
