yup it's wired... and i know it works because i was playing other games online last night... just for some reason COD W@W won't work

hey guys, having a bit of a problem here... I just put Call of Duty World at War into my ps3 to play some multiplayer online with a buddy but when i turn on the game I get a message that "an ethernet cable is disconnected"... Then it not only logs me out, it also shuts down my entire home network and everything goes offline. I play alot of other games online and am actually playing nhl 09 online right now so i know that it's not a problem with the network or the system.

I was just wondering if anybody else has had problems like this and if anybody knows how to fix this problem.

thanks for help guys, i have almost equal amount of friends on both systems so that doesn't really make much of a difference, but yes i will be playing MP a lot. I have no played COD 4 but figure that i'll pick up W@W until Modern Warfare 2 comes out and then pick that up. I actually like both controllers but most of my 1st person shooters are on 360 (except resistence 2) so maybe i'll get it for the 360.

I'm going to be buying it off ebay most likely so i guess i'll just get it for whichever system i can get it for cheaper lol. Good to know that both systems play the game equally well so i can get it for either.

just trying to decide whether to get COD W@W for my ps3 or 360. I know i want the game and figure that the graphics can't be that different on either system, so i'm just looking for some opinions on which system the game plays better on.

These "Ber" months have been amazing in gaming so far. I have picked up Fable 2, Fallout 3, Gears 2, and Dead Space. I can only buy one more game this year and I have narrowed it down to four choices.

Call of Duty: World at War

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

Please tell me which game I should get and why. The first three all look amazing and all got good reviews. MK vs. DC got worse reviews but I am huge fan of the Mortal Kombat series and fighting games in general. I have never been so indecisive in my life.
