OK. Got it. There are just entirely to many games to play and NOT enough time. I work all day until 630. Get home eat...spend time with family and by the time I know it.....it is 10. Play for a while then down for the count. So I try and get in some gaming on the weekends......an even then I have to choose which games to play. So I have been gaming on Far Cry 4, Mordor, Plant vs Zombies and Exo Zombies.
I have destiny for xbox 360 and I loved it till they basically forced you to buy DLC. and ever since new dlc came out i just quit the game. Because without dlc you basically "sucked" at the game. I was almost lvl 30 before dlc now after dlc you cant level up without buying the over priced dlc. So i am wondering Do alot of people play destiny especially people without the dlc. And Destiny was one of the most expensive games ever created hitting 500 Million in costs of production. I understand where the dlc prices come from and that the first dlc was available for purchase as pre-order before it actually came out months later.
Ok. I have not played Destiny since a month after release. That first month was awesome. But i got into Alien Isolation, Far Cry 4, Advanced Warfare, etc.
I want to make sure I understand what I just read above. If I was to play the game tonight.......i would not be able to level up? I would have to buy the DLC? thx
IMO the game is AWESOME. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the game. Every time I would hear the alien running at me............DAMN..........i was in suspense. Many scary, unsure, edge of your seat, suspenseful moments.
Graphics are unreal!!
The ending though......IMO was not very good. More than likely she has an alien inside her now and part 2 will probably continue in that form. thx.
Game was pretty good, except for all the bad things about it, but I think the story in general is off to the wrong track. Firstly, I felt a little bit bad about the story being about Amanda Ripley AT ALL. I mean, at the opening of Aliens, I think the one bright spot is that Ellen Ripley saved her daughter from having to go through any of this shit. "Yeah, I'm totally sad that my daughter died before I got back, but at least I saved her from those damn Aliens." And then the game comes along and says, "sorry, ellen Ripley, but you didn't save your daughter from shit. " that kind of rubs me the wrong way, and I don't like it. Leave Ellen Ripley's family alone. But having saif that, the game was okay as a one-time deal featuring stuff that relates to the previous movies. The bigger problem is the need to tie itse;f to the previous movies this much. If this is gonna be a series, then it can't keep existing in the same fan-service well. Nostromo logs and voice work from the cast of Alien were a nice touch, but that's only gonna work for a short while. And while I can accept one game starring Amanda Ripley, there's a bigger problem: this is prequel territory. We already know that she survicves the Alien menace and grows old and dies of old age, so that takes a way a LOT of the dramatic tension. Case in point, the cliffhanger ending of Alien:Isolation. Was Amanda Ripley impregnated by an Alien? The answer is, "it doesn't matter." The cliffhanger ending brings up a question, but I can't even care about the question since I know that it ultimately ends up getting resolved okay. And that's gonna be a problem is Creative Assemply plans on making the future games about this same character. The absolutely best thing this game did was to be incredibly faithful to the Alien movie. This is the closest I've ever gotten to feeling like I was in that universe, and I that CA for doing that part superbly even if they botched a few small things. But that's gonna wear off. Alien Isolation succeeded first and foremost because of the experience and because that experience felt novel. And that can't last forever. Next time, the experience won't be so novel and I'm gonna be more focused on the story. And it's gonna be a MUCH bigger buzzkill is the story is still following a character that we already know comes out of the whole ordeal okay.
Good points.
Bottom line:
Nintendo has the best original games to date. Exclusives! Mario, DK, Zelda, etc. Awesome even today. I like all 3 systems. I own all 3. But i lean towards Xbox.
2015 looks to be pretty damn awesome, no matter what system you own. PC owners are obviously getting in on the action, with more games released every week than consoles get in an entire month; the Xbox has Forza 6, Fable Legends, Halo 5, Quantum Break, Tomb Raider, and Scalebound; the Wii U has Splatoon, Xenoblade X, Star Fox, Kirby, Yoshi, Mario Maker, Devil's Third, and Zelda; PS4 has stuff like Uncharted 4, No Man's Sky, Street Fighter 5, Bloodborne, and Persona 5. Even the 3DS is getting in on the action with Codename STEAM, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Majora's Mask 3D, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Fire Emblem If, Etrian Odyssey, and Devil Survivor 2.
This isn't even mentioning the multiplats- Project CARS, Batman: Arkham Knight, The Witcher 3, Mortal Kombat X, Tekken 7, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Final Fantasy, Just Cause, and so much more.
What I am trying to say is, this will be an amazing year for gaming, and if there is anyone who thinks that the last year or so have been lacking in any way, this year should more than make up for it.
With that said, if you could only have one system this year- only one, and nothing more- which one would it be?
My answer is
*drumroll*
The PS4.
Look, I'll be honest, most of the multiplats on that list? They really don't do much for me. Yeah, I'll check out Arkham Knight, cause I'm a Batman fan, and Type 0 HD, mostly because I want that Final Fantasy XV demo, but those two (and Metal Gear Solid, but that's because Metal Gear Solid looks like a contender for GOAT) aside, I could live without practically every other multiplat. That said, if I changed my mind later, at least I could be assured of having a good, non pared back version on PS4.
But that's not the reason I picked it- see, like I said, I don't care for those multiplats, so it came down to the exclusives, which means that the entire contest was down to Wii U and PS4. Basically, it was Star Fox, Splatoon, Xenoblade X, and Zelda versus Bloodborne, No Man's Sky, Uncharted, and Persona, and in the end, it was Zelda U vs Persona 5, and Persona 5 wins out, every single time. The only next generation system I can play Persona 5 on right now is the PS4, and that in my opinion is more than enough to give the PS4 a win- everything else is just gravy, the icing on a very delicious cake.
I've not been happy with my PS4 so far, and I've been very vocal about not being happy with it, but this year, I have a feeling I will be glad that I have one- I get the feeling that my best gaming experience(s) of the year will be on this thing.
How about you?
http://www.gamerevolution.com/news/playstation-network-psn-sony-premium-entertainment-service-brand-30915
PlayStation Network is now becoming Sony's main brand for all things entertainment, the company announced today.
Sony's online network "will be the premium entertainment service brand which encompasses games, TV, video and music services." As such, its Video Unlimited and Music Unlimited services are being rebranded PlayStation Video and PlayStation Music, respectively.
Here's a full rundown on each of the services that are now part of the PlayStation Network:The PlayStation brand is easily one of the most valuable (and profitable) things Sony currently owns, so it only makes sense for the company to consolidate all of its services under this banner. I don't know about you, but I think this only paints a more promising future for the company and gamers alike.
PlayStation®Store (PS Store)
Since its launch in November 2006, PS Store has allowed users to discover and download digital game and video content anytime, anywhere from various devices including PlayStation platforms such as PlayStation®4 (PS4™), PlayStation®3 (PS3™) and PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita). PlayStation®Plus (PS Plus)
PS Plus offers members exclusive features and content, such as "Instant Game Collection," which give users access to full versions of popular titles with no time limits or extra costs, and "Online Multiplayer," which allows PS4 owners to play with and challenge other gamers over the network. As of January 2, 2015, over 10.9 million users have been taking advantage of the features and benefits of the membership service. PS Plus has been greatly enhanced since the launch of PS4, and will continue to provide a wide array of exciting content and services to PlayStation users.
PlayStationâ„¢Video (PS Video)

PlayStationâ„¢Music (PS Music)

SCE and SNEI have entered into a global strategic partnership with Spotify, in order to continuously deliver a best-in-class digital music experience with PlayStation Network. Spotify on PS Music will become newly available in 41 countries and regions this spring*2. The music streaming service "Music Unlimited" will close in all 19 countries on March 29, 2015.

Currently, the service is available on PlayStation platforms including PS4, PS3, PS Vita, and also Sony TVs and Blu-ray players, and select Samsung Smart TVs.
PlayStationâ„¢Vue (PS Vue)
PS Vue, first announced in November 2014, is a pioneering new cloud-based TV service that reinvents the television experience. The beta preview has begun in New York, Chicago and Philadelphia for select PS4 and PS3 owners, and will launch commercially during the first quarter of 2015. PS Vue leverages the power of the cloud to combine the live, on-demand, and catch-up TV content viewers love with a powerful user interface, that delivers unprecedented personalization and simplicity.
The PlayStation brand is easily one of the most valuable (and profitable) things Sony currently owns, so it only makes sense for the company to consolidate all of its services under this banner. I don't know about you, but I think this only paints a more promising future for the company and gamers alike.

Your thoughts, SW? Will the PlayStation brand help Sony's other entertainment businesses? It seems like Sony is all in on PS4. Would be nice if they tried to give the Vita some CPR for one last time. It could easily fit into the Sony entertainment mold. Doesn't help that Sony cut off youtube on the device, though.
It has to be.......because there TV's suck now when compared to Samsung, LG, etc.
