@jodiii That underwater bug always happens in the exact same spot, which is in a corridor at Blackfrost's Domain. That bug didn't occur to me anywhere else in the game.
@rrcp1us You're right! I remember when Vulcan said something mean to the sweet and innocent Sybil and I was like "What a jerk! I would never say that!"
I agree with some things in this review and disagree with others. First of all, giving a 5 to Dark Souls II is just stupid. You may not like it, but you have to admit the game is well made. Some incredible things in the game: - Deep leveling system
- Cool equipment that really changes your appearance and stats
- Incredible bosses and amazing settings(That long hall to get to the king with rain and thunder filling the corridor, awesome!)
Things that I agree with:
- Stats are really meaningless depending on what you do. You cannot count entirely on them. You can level up all your stats to 99 and you still won't be dealing one hit kills. (There's an Youtube video that shows that)
- There should be an "easy mode". What's the problem with that? The hardcore gamers would continue to enjoy the difficulty, while newcomers and casual gamers could enjoy the other great aspects of the game.
-The targeting system could really use some improvements.
- You can "farm" souls indefinitely, making this a kind of in-game cheat. It only depends on your time and patience.
@madara86 @leikeylosh Regarding in-game systems, like leveling, inventory and loot, you're absolutely right. But you have to admit that Mass Effect 2 (and 3 except the last part) had a deep story and character development. They just dropped the ball on the other things that make an RPG good.
And the rest, like Dragon Age and The Old Republic online... I agree, they suck.
I agree with the comments, maybe Kevin was a little too harsh on this one. I'm playing the game, It's not perfect, but it's very fun. If compared to previous titles from developer Spiders, it's a huge step forward. They're slowly making their way to become a great RPG developer like BioWare.
@donjuancorleone Check the Dark Souls 2 Nexus site, there's a mod called WickfutENB. The game becomes amazing with improved lightning and cool cinematic effects.
