axes03... It is pleasing me just fine. Just finished watching Stranger than Fiction on my 61" 1080p DLP tv, and it was sweet. At least my system came set up with a HI DEF storage media player, unlike the 360, where you need to buy the HDDVD player separately.

ColdfireTrilogy... I agree with you. Competition is healthy in this market, as we can expect to start seeing price drops on these systems as early as this fall, or next spring and summer. It took much more time for the PS2 and XBOX prices to drop back a few years ago. However, I just do not like it when these fanboy extremists come here and completely diss a system by saying completely untrue and ignorant things. People are missing the facts!

So basically, they're adding a keyboard that will make your controller a pain in the butt to hold, and a more convenient chat feature... this is supposed to compete with PS3 Home how? Since the PS3 was launched, we've had a very convenient chat feature (it will be even better with the launch of Home this fall), as well as Wireless bluetooth keyboard support, so we can have a full-size keyboard sitting on our laps no matter how far we are away from the system... Id say thats a lot better. Not to sound fanboyish or anything (and I have absolutely no problem with the 360, and I even own one) but I am aiming this comment at you XBox 360 fanboys who constantly find ways to put down the PS3 in very ignorant ways. No offense to anyone, but If Microsoft announced a new program for the 360 for you to be able to design your own napkins, you would think it was the greatest thing that God placed on this earth, aside from the 360 itself.

Gamewhat reminded me of something... definitely get two sides of something before you make a judgement. One thing Ive learned about GameSpot is that they dont exactly need much before they decide to write up an article. Any missing info, and they'll just pump out a few guesses and rumors and then they post their little articles. Like I was saying, gamewhat reminded me that IGN is definitely a more trustworthy place of getting your info from, because most of the time they make sure they have their stuff straight before they post. By the way MartenKL, why did you quote my little "I build computers" line. I do build them, whether you believe me or not. Its not rocket science to figure out this stuff.

MartenKL... I never said that the game I was playing utilized DX10 completely. I simply said that DX10 was on my computer, and I was just stating that even with this Windows Vista stuff out here right now we arent seing anything exactly worthy of a bunch of praise on the PC platform, nor have we seen much stuff like that for a while now.

Hey, you know how some channels are considered "liberal channels" (like CNN, CSPAN, etc). Then you have your "conservative channels" like Fox News (thank God for Bill OReilly and Sean Hannity). Well, the gaming environment can be compared in this way too. You have your Microsoft sites (like Gamespot), your Sony sites, your PC sites, and your Nintend... OK well maybe not nintendo, thats sort of a minority right now. But anyway, you know what Im saying. Now, I'm not picking on any one group of fanboys right now, and despite my love for the PS3 I will say that there are some pretty clueless, nieve PS3 fanboys out there too. YOU PEOPLE ARE WAY TOO FANBOYISH. You people bug the living crap out of me, you all come into these comment areas, and flame away at a system you dont want existing simply because it exists (Including you, ps3 fanboys), with all your facts screwed up. Heres an idea: get all your facts straight and get into these forums and make an educated conversation. And Ive had it with all the "PS3 and 360 suck, so nintendo wins" or "PS3 cant even handle rendering a sheet of toilet paper" crap. Support your statements, get some supporting facts! Or, point out the good points of all systems, like I always do. Now, do you want to hear my views? I think right now, the PS3 and 360 are at equal points. However (and this is not a fanboy statement, it is an educated guess based on trends and the hardware capabilities of both systems), I believe that the 360 will eventually hit the limits of its capabilities, and that the PS3 will be able to accel beyond it. Now, do I think the PS3 will ever sell more than the 360 or Wii? Absolutely not, because the PS3 has an outrageous pricetag. However, it is a FACT that the PS3s hardware is more powerful than that of the 360. It is not a guess, and believe me, I build computers... Hardware determines the exact amoun that a computer (which both the 360 and PS3 basically are) can handle. THIS CANNOT CHANGE, UNLESS THEY REDO THE HARDWARE IN THE 360s. Now, as for PC gaming, i need to say that I just tried vista on a 2000 dollar computer and ran a high graphics game with Vista and DX10, and, well, it sucked because vista is buggy and crashed alot, so i dont have much good stuff to say about it right now. As for the Wii, well it is not really a console to me. It went away from traditional gaming. I dont like to wave my controller and feel like one of those geeky star wars kids with the toy light sabers. However, some games are fun, and it deserves recognition for being innovative. As for one last thing: all this "The PS3 stole the Wii motion capture" crap. I have one answer: it didnt steal anything. Motion capture technology has been around for a while now, and contrary to popular belief, Nintendo didnt create it. They were simply the first to implement the technology in the video game industry.

Shingo, give it up! Everyone (including even most of the Wii fanboys) know that the Wii cant hold a candle to the PS3 or the 360. Its in its own little class, and for different, motion-filled entertainment purposes, which the PS3 even cant really do the motion thing cause sixaxis sucks.
