There isnt mandatory install on EACH and EVERY single game.And 40GB is enough space.

TC make sure :

1)RGD FULL RANGE (HDMI) is turned to FULL

2)Super White (HDMI) is turned ON

3)Video output settings is displaying 1080p

4)Go to game settings.Turn PS Upscaler to FULL and turn PS smoothing on.

Now while playing the game go into menu settings of the monitor and go to the information tab and check wether your actually playing at 720p or 1080p.

HD is simply BY FAR better than any SD.I have my PS3 hooked upto my rigs sync master 931bw and its FAR better than a normal SDTV.Even when it comes to frame rates.
