The line is drawn. I already told you intentionally using a bug is exploiting. You dont need 3rd party hacks to exploit a game(thats actually hacking, not exploiting). An item was supposed to cost 23,000. It cost 23 when bought. People knew it was a bug. People continued to use the bug, That is exploiting. You needed to buy the item thousands of times to get a permanent ban from the game. Not to mention that these people didn't buy 50, they bought hundreds or thousands. They knew what they were doing, and I'm sorry but it is against the ToS. I am glad they are gone. Also, most of the people banned got it changed to a temporary ban.[QUOTE="Falconoffury"]
Makari, again, you are still ignoring the fact that all people did was go to a vendor, and buy things. No tricks, no third party programs or hacks. Arenanet responded by PERMANENTLY banning these people. We are talking thousands of players who spent $60 on this game just days prior. Now, I can understand if they downloaded some "Damn Cheaters" or "MMO Ninja" type hacking program, but all they did was buy stuff from a vendor. I cannot repeat that enough. A line has to be drawn somewhere in the way of exploiting and the type of punishment it deserves. Not everything that players do to get advantages in a game should be considered "exploiting". Some of these exploits, like the one in question here, are so easy to do, the blame needs to lay squarely on Arenanet's shoulders.
Thankfully, Arenanet came to their senses about the permabans. I'm still worried about what they are going to do next. Be careful around those in-game vendors guys. Those shady NPCs can cause some real damage to your account.

I ask you people should PC gamers unite and make something similiar to working sindicate ? Because today Gamers suffers more then anybody. Just lets take Arena Net behavior. Just watch Kripparrion video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=UUeBMccz-PDZf6OB4aV6a3eA&v=OMTmBrwmjf0&feature=player_embedded , numerious examples from EA they buy really good frenchies and company and then they exploit gamers to buy their crap products,... jut take example of newest C&C products from EA 17th Aniversery of C&C 50 bucks for old mostly Westwood games. ....... And there are many many more examples !?

Those players violated the T&C either knowingly or unknowingly, and bought mismarked items in the bulk to gain a tremedous advantage over other players -- and in a PvP centric game, that's a big difference. But by signing the T&C to use their product, the end user agree that any and all access to the service is dictated by the entity it belongs to. So....children acting like children.
Forget the PvP centric game, it is an MMO. Think about how the economy would react and how literally everyone who didn't exploit would be screwed. I say good riddance and I applaud Arena Net. In fact, OP I have no idea why you even have Arena net in this discussion, they have done nothing but good for us.False. Two people have stated a displeasure with metro, not windows 8 in general.Game devs think Win 8 is pretty poor, that's it really.
