How dare you assume poor families don't care about their kids. Maybe if we didn't live in such a corrupt society these people would be given better chances in life and actually have the opportunity to make more money. No parent should be forced to lose their child and I assure you there are many who truly love their kids but lack the money becuase SOME wealthy, mansion inhabiting people can't pass up on their tenth car in order to give some aid to people who didn't get the chances they deserved and now live on poverty. The only problem with leftist ideology is you need a governement that isn't corrupt and composed of these very same rich people.
Alright all you guys who claim Classical music is not over rated. I want you to try and tell me, in what way is it not over rated?

First you have to tell us, what makes it overrated? Much of It's fanbase consider it a solid fact that it is better than any other genre of music. A SOLID FACT. They argue this by saying that it is more complex and intelligent than any other genre. Maybe, but not necessarily. There's plenty of complexity and intelligence to be found in other genres. Maybe not as much complexity, but It's there, and there's probably a whole bunch of musicians from other genres with a higher IQ than Beethoven or Mozart. Ever heard of Post-Rock? If not, a short definition would be: Instrumental music using primarily rock instruments, among instruments from other genres, in non-rock typical ways. A lot of it has classical-esque structure. In my opinion it sounds more interesting, tha classical music, and there's a lot less weirdo stuff going on in it so you can focus and appreciate what actually is going on in it. And I'm sure a lot of the guys who play it are just as intelligent as many of the great classical composers. Disagree if you will, It's all opinion. Which is my main point. Classical music is not indefinitely better than every other genre, all just opinion. Also, my reasoning behind making this thread about it was a bit of controversy, I find it entertaining. And also take into account that I don't dislike classical music.
You should not argue with the fan point, it is not a sound argument. That is like me saying I met this metalhead and he was a jerk so metal sucks. Also I think you should take into consideration that a lot of music would not exist if classical music never did. You don't have to enjoy listening to it by any means if you don't personally like it, you are entitled to an opinion but when you're listening to post-rock think about how if classical music never existed it might not have either. When classical music was all that was around it was very relevant to social changes in the respective eras, in the last few decades there has been great music and great musicians but it just doesn't seem that relevant anymore...
