Gaming innovation has seen decline in the last few years, however I think companies like Nintendo truly keep the torch lit and carried throughout each gen, trying to make sure things don't go stale.

So if you care about innovation, show your support for the companies that are trying new things, even if they aren't perfect.

Also, I would like to point out the irony of a member of EA games complaining about games lacking innovation. I busted both nuts laughing at that sh**.

I don't see how people associate Nintendo with innovation. They've been riding the same IP's for years. A new control scheme is a good thing, yes, but otherwise they are far from innovative.

And concerning the OP, that is exactly how I felt in WoW, and why I quit it. I realized how much energy and time I was putting into this game, and how it really wasnt going to benefit my life at all. It's strange how you get sucked into these things.

They offer more innovation than various other console companies. The limitations of other consoles limits the innovation of the game developers. Having the most powerful GPU simply isn't enough to offer to developers. Nintendo is a good example of a company that does anything to stay away from the trends, and is adored for this position.

The true innovation is in the hands of the developers, and I see most of the better games coming out for the PC, while a lot of the quirky, innovative games coming out for the Wii/DS.

The attempt on Manhunt's integrity only makes it more powerful, in truth, I would have never considered purchasing the game, but now will BECAUSE of it's AO rating.

Thanks for doing a lovely job ESRB. :D

That's more up to you than the game, but there are many games in which you have more "freedom" to do deeds in various manners.

I suggest you try Black and White, or Black and White 2. Really great games that have unfortunately already been brushed off into the endless void of games no longer played.
