So I just installed a network adapter to my ps2 today and I noticed a couple of weird things that have never happened before. First was the sound of the fan. It sounded stranger than usual startimg it up right after I connected the adapter. Next thing I noticed was that I saw a flash of light through the front vent holes.  Should these things be of concern to me? Did you guys notice anything different the first time you connected you network adapter?

I recently bought a network adapter for my fat ps2 and I really want to try socom online. So which socom would you guys recommend? Also, I bought my adapter off ebay and it didn't come with a start up disc so I was wondering if I can use a socom game to create a config file on my memory card. If it does work will that file be good for all my ps2 games or will I have to make a config file for each game?

Yes madden and socom are the games that I know that you can do that with, but I'm sure there plenty other games as well. But if you really want another set up disc, you can find real cheap ones on ebay.

Had to get a new set up because my beautiful wife wanted her living room back.

Here is the old set up. I liked it well enough.
42” HD Panasonic
Sony surround sound
PS3

Moved it all downstairs where it is nice and cool.
Bought a 32” HD Westinghouse TV
Bought a new Sony surround sound
Moved the PS3
Also bought a 120 GB external hard drive. (I wish Sony would have put at least one USB port in the back for this) I hate wires showing!

version2pnt0

How is that Westinghouse? I'm thinking of getting a 32 in or 27in? Is the quality as good as the price?

I'm not a big fan of these long rpg/action adventure type of games but with all the hype the second one is getting I decided to buy the first one. The game is more fun than I thought it was going to be, especially when you do some insane combos. I'm just wondering about how long did it take for you guys to finish the game. I've had it for a day now and I just got to the level where I climb the mountain of that big titan thing. How much longer is the quest?

I recently purchased a network adapter for my fatty ps2  but doens't come with a start up disc. So I was wondering if I can use  games like SOCOM: CA to create a configuration file. If I can, will the file work with all my other online games or will I have to manually configure one for each game?
