I agree that the pathfinding is hilariously bad, but I like the game.

You're also exhausted after winning a game in SupCom or TA, and those are the perfect RTS games.

ok big units like dragoons/tanks/ultralisks do get stuck rather easily at choke points, but cmon, even some modern games eg: red alert 3, released a few months ago, has worse pathfinding imo...

Hehe just kidding, there are just too many people looking to be politically correct and too many people looking for things to blame when bad things happen. I think its just a matter of people realizing that we as a society are never going to be perfect and there are always gonna be the potential for things around us to provide negative influences. I mean things like linking video games to fueling teenagers to go around and kill/injure people is like saying people will go around and start shooting people cuz they like watching james bond movies or wateva. People have to take responsibility for themselves and use some common sense!

-Knights of the old republic 1 + 2: my fave storylines of all time so far :P

-Max payne: comic style story telling, really liked the second one

-Baldur's gate series: 1/4 through first game, heard very good things about it

-Dead space: some might think the story in this is rather cliched, but it definitely has its great moments. You liked FEAR(which i loved too) so you should give this one a go, even better if you obtained the animated movie "deadspace:downfall" and watched that before playing.

-Deus ex: only 1/4 through this atm as well, but as you might know, this is probably part of the PC games canon or something and i'd like to think its storyline had something to do with that

-The witcher: personally i didn't enjoy this one as much as i hoped, a mature fantasy storyline

-Jade empire: eastern style martial arts fantasy RPG, quite good once you get into it.

How about supreme commander, thats kinda got like futuristic scifi robot units aka starwars style. Not too sure about gameplay cuz i havent played galactic battlegrounds

-Be a level ?? boss with 10 billion hp

-Regenerates hp at 10000/second, regenrates limbs and heads if dismembered

-Have a difficulty level of extreme, realistic, nightmare, impossible, or godlike

-Have 99.9% resistance and immunity to physical, magic, psychic, bullet, explosive, nuclear, radioactive, laser, hadoken or time warp/travel damage

-Be insusceptible to diplomacy, persuade, seduce, taunt, intimidate, lie, bribe, appraise or bluff

-Cannot be head-shotted, backstabbed, stealth attacked, pickpocketed, stunned, disoriented, set on fire, frozen, slowed, poisoned, transformed into a small animal or 1-hit KOed

-Cannot be destroyed via the environment its in, including collapse roofs, rocks, engine fire, exploding barrles, deep water or run over by vehicles

People have tried to develop a plan to kill this character know as "PC gaming" but after dying 100 times they would swear at the screen and cry :P

Thx for the replies guys, gives me more incentive to try out the game now. Don't worry Jinroh_basic, i don't think you having a go at oblivion would have offended anyone. I'm pretty open minded and its good to have different people following different games.

Btw i've been reading some reviews on gothic 1 + 2, is there a continuous storyline of some sort that makes it beneficial for the player to have played the first 2 games before trying the third? And if not, is it still worthwhile or perhaps more worthwhile(since gothic2 is rated higher) to try the first to try the first 2 games?
