@Salali Id have to strongly disagree with you there. The PS controller is the one major thing that drives me away from the ps3. Its been the same design for over 15 years. It was a great controller in 96, but the analog sticks look as stuck on in hurry as they ever did. The left analog is what everyone uses so it should swap places with the dpad just like everyone else has done since the dreamcast. Its more comfortable, in not only my opinion but the vast majority.
The smart thing would be to have interchangeable analog/dpad, like some 3rd party manufacturer did. That way Im happy and so are you, and we will both be interested in the system. Which is what sony wants.
The other thing thats desperately needed is for the psn to integrate fully into the dashboard, as was said in the article. Having full integration is really what makes xbl so much better than psn.
I wouldnt touch this game with a ten foot pole, no matter how good it is. Constant server issues and lag in a single player game(as I would play it) **** that!
First they came for the communists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.
This is an extreme, obviously, but it still holds true to my point. If your happy to let everyone else be bullied out of gaming dont be surprised when its only you left wondering why you cant any support from those that you count yourself amongst.
You dont see a problem with this, and I do. Later you may have a problem with something I dont care about, and although youll deny it, youll want my support.
@maxwell97 I think your missing the point. Always online drm, IS TAKING AWAY YOUR RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER!!!!!!! If your to stupid to see the problem with that, if all the gamers are happy to throw away their rights, then they are fools plain and simple.
So many morons simply will not admit that they gave away their rights to play a game. A GAME! I wonder what else theyll agree to just to play the expansion packs.
@I_ArCh0n_I @greyzhaze Using gamespot isnt a single player game experience that you paid money for. Its no wonder you throw away your consumer rights with piss poor arguments like that.
@SDSkarface It has a single player component. Like all single player experiences they dont make use of on line options. Is D3 better played with other? Probably, but should that mean that those that want to play as a single player shouldnt simply because its not the way YOU play? It might not be something that effects you this time but at some point something will and wouldnt you like the support of you fellow gamers? Even if it doesnt effect them? Unless you work for the company you shouldnt be taking their side against you fellow gamers, regardless of how it effects you.
@Lionoversusking @weedman1985 You shouldnt have to accept that for a single player experience. You should be abler to put faith in the fact that you can play the single player at any time you want.
It shouldnt be"oh well, I have other things to play". You paid good money for that game and you should be able to play it when you want. Too many people are happy to accept being able to play a game that they bought on someone elses terms.
@steelmouth No if your going to developing graphics, the video card will be a lot more expensive than £500. For other tasks such as adobe after effects for example. Having a fast cpu and loads of ram is what you need.
But yes we agree, that PC games sell well enough already. My issue with D3, is the drm. I dont think its abad game, or crappy graphics or overhyped or any other reason someone else might have to bash the game. MY only complaint, is the abusive use of always online drm. If I had bought that game and got home to see a error message to playing a single player game, Id be pissed. A lot of people turned up to mid night launches and rushed home excited to play and instead got nothing. Thats the major flaw of always on drm. A single player experience shouldnt be shackled to the internet, not matter what the excuse. The pirates will find away around it like they always do, and in the end the only people hurt by the drm(as with all drm) is the legit buyers.
@steelmouth I dont see anybody saying this. All I see are people saying what you just said. If PC gaming was dying, we wouldnt be seeing £500+ video cards being made every year. And anyone that said pc gaming was dead before would get slapped with the sales figures of those cards. Who would pay that much money and not have great games to play? diablo is not the savior of pc gaming. It wasnt in trouble to start with with.
You can bet that this will be the start of the end though, now that all of you have given the thumbs up to always online drm. Thanks for that.
